Fairbanks' most popular and longest running hostel. Open EVERY DAY/ALL YEAR! We are within walking distance of the University of Alaska and many local hangouts. We are also on the main city bus line. Great place to meet locals and travelers.
The Hostel is a vibrant, energetic and shared experience. There is a main kitchen, three bathrooms and several common areas, all of which are shared with other like minded travelers. Billie has turned the home where she has lived for over 50 years - and raised 7 children- into an affordable, welcoming, comfortable place for travelers to stay while in Fairbanks. Billie does have a few private rooms - Ask her about them if you are interested (or see them on AIRBNB). Perfect location for Aurora viewing - right outside our door! Look us up on the web for more information including Aurora photos !
Open 24 hours. No curfew. Lots of extras: Free Local Phone, Wi-Fi and internet Service, linens & towels and the occasional treats that Billie makes. Access to all common sitting areas, decks, outdoor spaces, tent space, laundry, free bike use (when available), plenty of free storage, bus schedules, local tour information and Local TOUR pickup at our door. Reservations are highly recommended during the summer months (May-Sept). There is a key code to get into the front door after hours.
Since Billie lives here, you will meet her, and very likely many of her extended family and friends. This is also a great place to meet other travelers from all over the world who are exploring Fairbanks and interior Alaska. Billie does have a Pug dog that likes to be friendly. If you do not care to be around dogs, then this may not be the right place for you.
We are open every day of the year. Reservations are highly recommended especially in the busy summer months. Contact us if you have any questions.
This is a hostel setting - meaning all areas are shared with other travelers. NO alcohol is permitted. Please observe quiet time in the sleeping area; please clean up after yourselves and respect others’ space and property.
We are happy to accommodate late-night check-ins, but we ask that you let us know the time of day that you expect to check-in by adding it to your booking or request message to us. If you are planning to check in between the hours of midnight and 7am, please be sure that you are booking the prior day as the first day of your request or booking with us. We want to ensure that we will have your bed or your room ready for you.
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed; but please note that Billie has a pet pug dog named Franky. He is allowed into the hostel for SHORT visits on occasion. If you do not like small dogs, this may not be a comfortable place for you.
