I have lived in Tennessee off and on for 30+ years. So I'm a local now, ya'll.
Childhood transplant from Los Angeles. Graduated from Montgomery Bell Academy and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Traveled and lived internationally. Worked briefly in New York as a buy side trader. Back to Nashville to raise babies and to be closer to family.
Married to my favorite travel companion for 18 years. One of my greatest joys in life is to travel and explore with our children and to show them the world: both the saddening and spectacular. I hope one day our children can reflect on their life of travel and see the earth as one country and the entire world of humanity as one family. We live a life centered acquisition of knowledge in the arts and sciences, the study of virtues, service to others. I really hope that one day my children will be self aware, happy people and citizens of a more peaceful world!
When not hauling kids to school or checking homework, I'm a real estate developer, spec and custom home builder.
I really, really love great food. I live for 70 degree days and a great non fiction book. Aspiring gardener, poor but earnest horseman and keen watcher of many sports, both professional and 8th grade soccer.
I am a hands-off host, giving you total privacy and quiet enjoyment during your stay. Yet I am just a phone call or text away. And happy to offer suggestions for food, drink or entertainment.
I love my neighborhood because its a special local place. Its also reminiscent of some of my other favorites: Astoria (Queens), Williamsburg (Brooklyn), Wicker Park (Chicago), Los Feliz or Silverlake (LA), Little Five Points (ATL) or East (Austin). Five Points, east side is one of the diverse, creative districts in town. With a mix of old and new, much local flavor and all pros and cons that come with development. On the east side its more local brunch and bluegrass, than national chain franchises. My wife and I were taken with this neighborhood many years ago in the 90's. The tree lined streets, the turn of the century architecture, local watering holes and neighbors talking across fences. Its walkable and full of energy and really great new businesses, venues, restaurants and shops are still popping up every month! For the last eighteen years! Revitalization before our eyes. And its VERY close to everything in Nashville.
Come see what all the fuss is about and book with confidence!
