It's a small — 35 sqm — studio flat but has AC, a hammock, zillions of great books, and an LP player; and last but not least, it's located a mere 50 m from the Beach (half a block). It's also close to two metro stations. (And of course it has wifi.)
It's the former residence of a German "Indianist" (non-academic ethnologist; common in Brazil) who had lived for thirty years with natives in the Amazon. Therefore this small, yet utterly charming, apartment feels like it could have been the retreat place of Levi-Strauss, had he not returned to France in the 50s after his expeditions in Mato Grosso, but instead, moved to Copacabana.
It's not an enormous place, although cozy, so is all there to be used.
I live just a couple of streets away. So it will be easy to help with any problems guests might have.
90% of the days you will wake up lit by the warm reflection of the sun on the buildings in front, and immediately your eyes will search for the beach chair and the parasol. I guarantee.
People are free to use anything in the house, but it's expected that everything will be left as found; therefore, please don't take any of the books, they're very precious to me!
