Rehabbed vintage 3rd floor walkup apt in residential neighborhood between O'hare and the Loop, blocks to BlueLine/transit. 3 BR, 1.5 bath, huge dining/living room, great new kitchen, perfect for a group of friends or a family. 1 Queen, 1 daybed, twin bunk beds. Check map before booking.


This is my home, in a wonderful residential neighborhood. PLEASE NOTE: We are not walking distance to bars and restaurants (try Wicker Park, Bucktown, Lakeview if this is what you are looking for). However, we have a couple awesome restaurants that compete with downtown quality and price, plus there is plenty of free street parking and it's VERY quiet up here. I live here with my three kids, who visit me every other weekend. We decided to offer three bedrooms of the four for guests when the kids are not staying over. I don't sleep here much any more, but I do use the fourth bedroom at the rear of the apartment as my office on weekdays.

You will have access to a comfortable living room with large smart TV, a Craftsman style dining room, a fully equipped kitchen with laundry facilities and a private bathroom. The main bedroom has a queen sized bed and in this 3 bedroom listing we offer the kids' rooms for rent as well. One room has a day bed and the other room has bunk beds (great for kids). We recently hosted four guys who were college buddies and they loved the space. But it's also great for traveling families who want a safe tree-lined street in a great neighborhood with easy access to O'Hare, the highway, and a short train ride to the hippest neighborhoods in Chicago.


You can access the entire space except for the back bedroom/office where I occasionally sleep and where I work every work day. It can't be super loud during those hours as I answer the phone for Apple during that time.


I am always available to talk to you over the phone and I will generally greet guests personally. I will be coming over every day for a few hours to work but mostly you will find that I am not in your business. I will bring fresh pastry every morning though!
I personally know several chefs at top restaurants and I will gladly help you get into cool places. I used to go to the bars a lot and I can recommend many great places for food, drink, breakfast, donuts, you name it.


This is a list of the stuff that we simply must talk about: I am pet friendly but we gotta talk about your pet before you arrive. If your animal is not able to be quiet or is aggressive, it's just not gonna work. You know your pet, so let's just agree that if you have a VERY agreeable pet, you are welcome to bring it along. But if it's not, please don't even ask.

We completely renovated the nearly 100 year old building in 2014. All new plumbing, water service, mechanicals, floors, new bath rooms with huge walk in shower and fully appointed kitchen with new appliances, Kuerig coffee maker (a wide selection of k cup coffee and tea bags), toaster (we provide the bread and muffins) etc. So everything works.
Regarding our old building: You will hear the tenants downstairs moving around and they will hear you if you have the TV or music turned up or if you have loud voices or stomp around. Please moderate your sound, including your footsteps, so that we minimize disturbing the neighbors, especially after 10pm.

We welcome families with children, however we do not rent to individuals or groups under the age of 25. And we need to know the names of all guests in the group so please add them to the booking. No guests who are not on the itinerary. NO parties.

No drugs, no smoking. If you smoke, there is a $500 cleaning fee. If you do drugs? We will ask you to leave.

Pets may be allowed if we discuss it beforehand.
If you bring a pet, we require a $250 security deposit for the pet, in addition to the regular deposit.

If anything isn’t working, please contact Jeffrey immediately. Text message is probably best. Reach out if you need anything for the apartment or you just want advice on where to go and what to do.

Checking in and out
We will provide instructions in advance of your stay. If you need to make special arrangements please contact Jeffrey.
We ask that you not use the rear access except to empty waste cans if that is necessary.

There is a manual inside the "book" box on the coffee table with instructions for the printer/scanner, TV, DVD, Keurig coffee maker, dishwasher, washer and dryer and HVAC.

No candles.
Use the coasters, trivets and placemats to protect the furniture.
If you have a small child who is still in diapers traveling with you, please take any soiled ones to the garbage cans in the backyard next to the alley ASAP (before you leave for the day). Do not leave them in the trash.

Basically, we just ask that you treat the apartment well, and have a great stay. And we hope that you will want to come back again.

We had a wonderful weekend attending a wedding in the neighborhood. The location was perfect and the accommodation was just right for me, my husband and two children. We wish we could have hung out and enjoyed more but we definitely enjoyed the coffee!!! Thanks for your wonderful hospitality Jeffrey!!

Best host ever. I have stayed at a number of AirBnBs and Jeff is the best host ever. Frequently checked to make sure we were happy. Gave us a lift to diner. Great tips on what to do locally. Best amenities ever. Very freshly and cleanly updated space. Great Kitchen. Lots of light. Historic charm. I really like the street and the vibe of the neighborhood. I would definitely go back.

We needed a place to stay for my mom who was visiting when we didn't finish our own house's renovation. Jeffrey's home was close by and worked out perfectly. He was welcoming, easy to communicate with and responsive. The apartment is very nice, just like the pictures and a great value.
