Thanks for your review. Yes the apartment is blocked off as is should be, because it is completely separate from the main house without access from and to the apartment..
The parking spot usually is not blocked. There was a service call at the property and the repairman was asked to move his vehicle immediately. There had not been a complaint about the 2nd car, as it is positioned parallel, right in front of the 2-car garage door, not the apartment entrance. We have never had a problem with it as you can see from the other 98 reviews.
The apartment kitchen was tastefully decorated and we want to keep the sets in the kitchen so our guests don’t feel like they have to use patched up old items from someone else’s place. Other apartments and hotels build in replacement costs in the nightly rate. This apartment wanted to keep an affordable low rate for the guests.
The air conditioning (AC) sign is not an instruction, as it states, it is just a suggestion. Guests have full control of their air conditioning (AC) and can operate it as they wish.
As far as the parking spot, we simply want the guests to park near the curb (not the bushes) as they would in any other parking spot.
We may have the same overall privacy than a hotel. But please keep in mind that at a hotel 3 guests have to sleep in “ONE” room without a kitchen for a higher nightly rate. There is no privacy in that room when traveling with a mother-in-law and/or other travelers. With us, no matter how many are in your traveling party, you always have your own private bedroom as the person who makes the booking :-)
We wash the sofa seat cover for the guests and I was worried about your daughter not having a fresh sofa cover to sit/play on. When I stopped by I approached the door and heard noises. Otherwise I would have never knocked on it at 8. I received your “don’t worry about it” response after I dropped it off. I’m very sorry I offended anyone with that action. I found out housekeeping didn’t get the cover back from laundry in time. We will not have this issue again since we already had a 2nd sofa seat cover made.
