Blocks from Cottage Hospital, cafes, restaurants & a one mile walk to the Public Market and downtown. This fully detached guesthouse sits amongst a back yard full of succulents that will allow you to relax and feel comfortable away from home.
The guesthouse is set in the backyard behind the garage. Walk up the driveway and through the gate to a brick walkway along the side of the garage. You will see a wooden gate ahead that leads up two steps to a fenced area for your privacy. Enter at the first door to your left which enters the house through the full bathroom. Bath towels, hand towels, and a hairdryer are provided for your use. The bathroom has soap, body soap and shampoo for your stay.
Through the bathroom door, you will enter a small area where you will find a small kitchen table with a small refrigerator, coffee machine, and tea kettle. Water, coffee, tea, and other light snacks are provided.
Walk up two steps to the bedroom fitted with a comfortable queen sized bed. There is a 40 inch tv connected to a roku smart tv adapter and the internet. You can log on to hulu or netflix. The password to the wifi is on the night stand. The bedroom has two french doors that open up to the outside private and fenced in seating area.
In the case of a third guest, we have a full sized inflatable aerobed for their use.
Please park on the street. Wednesdays and Thursdays are street cleaning days. The street is a OneWay street. On Wednesdays, park on the right side of the street between 1-4 pm to avoid a ticket. On Thursday, you must park on the left side of the street before 1-4 pm to avoid a ticket.
Guests will have access to the guest house and private seating area.
I will be in and out of the house during the day and home during the evening. If you have any questions I can be reached by text or cell phone.
There is a cat that lives in our yard. He comes and goes as he pleases. He does not come indoors.
My husband and I both work and have two children. This is not a party house. Feel free to sit out on the private patio, but I ask that it is quiet outside after 10pm. This is a residential neighborhood and we need to respect the surrounding neighbors.
5 things I cannot live with out:
4- Good authentic food
I love meeting people and traveling. I lived in Ireland for 5 years and travelled throughout Europe. I've lived in Northern California and Portland, OR before settling down with my family in Santa Barbara.
