It is unfortunate you misunderstood the listing as it clearly says "Rooms" within a bungalow and does also state there is a shared bathroom. In particular if you check your messages on the airbnb site to me prior to making your booking I explained that the King Size Room was already booked, therefore you were informed well in advance before you made your booking that other guests were staying there. In NO part of the listing does it say it is a "full" house that is available.
With regards to "lack of communication" I did in fact respond each time by text as there was a poor internet connection at the wedding I was at. I received no message at all with regards to directions (Check your messages and you will see it's not there either) Referring to my phone now as I still have all the messages on there and I'm not sure why you didn't receive them? The 1st one I received was at 4.27pm saying you had arrived, the next one was at 7.52pm regarding you not realising it was a shared house and my response by text to you was at 8.15pm stating "When you requested a booking I said that the King Size Room, with the sign on the door "Wake Up With Laughter" was already booked & I could offer you 2 other Double Rooms, with signs on the door saying Sweet Dream & Relax & Renew (already stated earlier when u booked in the morning) so I'm not sure where the confusion has arisen from, but hope you have a pleasant stay. You again messaged me at 8.23pm having decided you were going check out next day and i sent you a reply by text ( again referring to it on my phone) at 9.08pm saying "That's unfortunate that u didn't understand the airbnb listing Hollie, ive never had anyone misunderstand it before as it clearly states "Rooms" in a bungalow with shared bathroom. Also I did say to you last night the other room was booked, so that relayed the situation to you then. However I understand if you're not comfortable with it and hope you find somewhere more suitable tomorrow & enjoy your time in Scotland.. i left it at that as that was as much as I felt there was to be said from both perspectives.
I'm not sure what you mean with regards to adults lodging with kids, the other guests were in their mid 20's so are young adults. I also don't understand what your reference is to Special needs persons either, if special requirements were necessary for that purpose, then I would need to be told of about them, but to be honest I really don't see what that has to do with your stay, unless they were required by any members of your family, in which case you should have checked that the house would be suitable for them prior to booking. This does not make the house "unsafe" or indeed so for the amount of guests who use the toilet, unless a child is absolutely bursting to go, but I have had no complaints before if you read the reviews.
Again if you read the listing when you booked it does say the additional bed is a single sofa chair bed and not a cushion as you referred to.
If I say in advance which I did, that another room is booked, that clearly implies other guests are staying in the house, so again I don't understand why you didn't realise that.
The bathroom seat had become loose after previous guests stayed and also the crack in the bath, which could not be fixed over the weekend at such short notice and I currentlys awaiting repair, neither prevented use of the facilities. The washing machine had my washing in it, as it's never used by guests unless they're staying more than 4 days, never for a minute did I expect it to get used as soon as you arrived as guests usually ask if they can use it first, which of course are most welcome to. But emptying it all out and leaving it on the other guests dressing table in their room which you should never have been in for their 2 day stay was unbelievable to say the least.
With regards to your personal belongings, this again comes down to your misinterpretation that you had booked "Rooms" and not the "Full" house and had left them lying about the house instead of in your room. The main thing is that they were all safely where you left them though.
If you check all the other reviews Hollie, you will find that no one else has had any of issues you have raised, so it is clear that in future you need a "Full" house to yourselves which I totally understand, so please do make sure to fully read what you're booking to prevent both unnecessary hassle for other hosts and disappointment for yourself.
