A cute, light, bright studio apartment in Waikiki --- Huge windows to enjoy the warm, fresh winds. 2 blocks to Waikiki beach, but a very residential feel by the Ala Wai canal. Enjoy the beautiful views, clean apt. Lovely bathroom & kitchen!
[UPDATE: APARTMENT IS AVAILABLE: --- 31st Dec-03rd Jan --- Outside of those dates, I'll be in the apartment, meaning it'll be a share- price will drop to $74 per night and I may sleep on the floor or balcony] ---
The apartment has a peaceful, happy & light vibe. The apartment building itself is PINK! And it's not a huge high-rise, it's a cute 50's-style building. The studio itself has been recently remodeled and you can tell when you walk in, everything is new.
Street Parking all along the street. You'll have full access to the apartment, includes a place to cook, a lot of fancy teas & coffees, my own personal coffee grinder (Swiss, fancy!) and a beautifully decorated bathroom, with a shower (and a window in the shower that overlooks the mountains, yes, MOUNTAINS!). You have the beach (Waikiki) on one side, and the canal/mountains on the other side, you can see both sides from the apartment (sunrise, sunset). I don't think you'll need it, but you also have a large TV with a lot of channels so if you would like to put some mindless silly show on while you eat dinner, feel free :)
I'm an e-mail or phone call away. I most likely will not be in Honolulu when you stay here, but any questions you have you can ask me before, or during your stay :)
Once you start getting about Honolulu & Waikiki, you'll start to realize (very quickly) just how great this location is. Your gratitude will grow as you begin to notice the stressed and sweaty-looking tourists & youth hostel-ers, all of whom are missing out in some way on a true Hawaiian experience. It's sad. Most of them are taking buses from miles outside just to get to Waikiki (whereas this apartment is right IN it) - that means when you go to the beach you don't have to use gross public toilet changing rooms since you can go home as much as you like, it's that close. A lot of these tourists end up looking like stressed out hobos, because they're using horrible shared bathrooms in some random hostel or cheapo hotel... There are plenty of horrible tourist-traps in Honolulu who are happy to offer you their terrible accommodations, they're tailor made for those short-sighted folks who try to save a few $'s here and there, my philosophy is simple: if you're coming all this way, do it properly and stay in a beautiful place!
Quietness is very important. I have neighbors! They are all very good, sweet and peaceful people who I get along great with; my immediate neighbors live in the apartment next door, which is only a wall away. They are quiet, and it would be great if you could reciprocate.
Other obvious rules I will explain in person if I'm in the apartment, or leave a note for if I'm out of town...
