Top floor of the Ancien Hotel, big balcony with mountain views for each bedroom, salon and kitchen. Discount 3rd night.
2 double rooms with double beds (one bed can be separated into two singles) and one quadruple room with a double bed and two bunks bed.
High up in the mountains, perched on the top floor, under 300 year old wooden beams cut from the surrounding forest, the apartment is the jewel of Ancienhotel's crown! A huge double balcony under the eaves of the roof, protected from the elements, runs the whole front of the Ancien hotel, with a small table and chairs for a couple of drinks in front of the spectacular mountain view. One room has a cosy private balcony, nestled beneath the eaves, from which another set of mountains can be seen. Two of the antique beds come from Venice, The oval ceramic sink in the room with a stone wall, is from 1930's America...left over from the furniture of the original hotel, brought up from Nice on the back of a donkey!
The green, leather Chesterfield couch in the living-room is from England (this can also be opened as an extra double bed on request, allowing 10 people to sleep). The small, well equipped kitchen, the other beds and many curious details are all custom made by Florent, artist photographer/designer.
We live downstairs so you see us when you come and go from the house, but you are quite invisible once your door is closed!
