My flat offers the best of both worlds - just a 20 minute bus ride from the fabulous city of Edinburgh, yet set in a peaceful, sunny location overlooking Pentland hills. there is a supermarket, bank, takeaways etc a short walk from the door. With private parking, its also ideal for those bringing a car and the area is perfect base for trips to all other parts of Scotland within a short drive from major road links to North, west and south.
Our flat offers the best of both worlds - a semi rural picturesque quite family friendly village set at the foot of the Pentland Hills yet just a 30 minute bus journey to the fabulous city of Edinburgh with all its attractions. Its also a good gateway for other parts of Scotland with the Airport just 20 minutes away, and all major road links to North, west and south within 15 minutes drive. Being an upper villa set at the top of a hill with an open outlook across the fields and up into the hills, it offers a great retreat at the end of a busy day enjoying your sightseeing. It is unusually bright and sunny with a dual aspect from Kitchen through to lounge/dining area. You would be sleeping in a huge double bedroom with brand new double bed/mattress. There is space for a cot or single mattress for a toddler. In addition we have a fully equipped kitchen and a good sized bathroom with a powerful shower over the bath. Great storage throughout and a private garden at the back. Off street parking just beside our garage, a few minutes along the path.
You will have full access to the well equipped kitchen, bathroom, unlimited wifi, etc and communal areas including dining table and lounge.
I am always happy to offer help and guidance both prior to and during your stay.
The property is an upper villa, accessed through its own main door and up one flight of stairs. Consequently it is not suitable for people who have disabilities/mobility problems and if you are planning on bringing a toddler I would suggest you should bring a stair gate.
This is my home so I would expect you treat it with respect and leave it clean, tidy and as you find it. Respect our neighbours both below and to the side and of course in the surrounding area by Keeping noise to a minimum between the hours of 2300 and 0700. No smoking or pets.
Hi I am an AirBnB hostess who loves to meet new people, both at home in bonnie Scotland and further afield. I have three children, a son of 13, and twin boy and girl of 18. We all love meeting new people, sharing stories from around the world, exploring new cultures, enjoying different cuisine and basically everything about both being an AirBnB host and an AirBnB guests. My passions include distance running (hills and trails) swimming cycling, hiking and rock climbing, cooking, socialising over a good meal with family and friends. My children collectively enjoy a wide range of activities including skiing, hockey, rugby, scouts, piano playing and judo. Our AirBnB guests have always found us to be friendly, welcoming and sociable and we have met some lovely people. As guests ourselves, we treat any place in which we stay in with respect and loving care, just as we expect those who stay with us to do. My life Motto is "life is for living, giving and sharing"
