The Sandy Star started life as a traditional Russian River home with wood paneling and floors throughout. Under new ownership, and a complete remodel, the house is bright and light with ample charm and character. More photos coming soon!

In general, night minimums are as follows:
-Two night minimum October to Memorial Day Weekend (holidays have a higher night minimum)
-Three Night Minimum Memorial Day Weekend through end of June, and September
-Weekly Only late June through August, Summer Rotation Day
-Major holidays including Thanksgiving, Winter Break and President's Day may have a longer night minimum.
Reservations not adhering to these night minimums will not be accepted.
VACATION RENTAL DAMAGE PROTECTION PLAN: There is a $49 non-refundable Vacation Rental Damage Protection Plan fee for all reservations, already included in the cleaning fee. In order to activate the vacation rental damage protection plan included in your rental fees, please provide your billing address, phone number, & email address in the note with your reservation. If this is an issue, please contact us before making a reservation.
The maximum number of people allowed on the property is 8. Exceptions can be made for children under 3. In general, two additional day guests maybe allowed at no extra cost, as long as Russian River Vacation Homes has given guest prior written approval. This home does not have a permit for parties, large gatherings, or events.
QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at any time.
QUIET HOURS & THE HOT TUB: The Sandy Star is in a close-knit residential neighborhood.. To maintain a good relationship with our neighbors - and remain in compliance with the Quiet Hours mandated in the Vacation Rental Ordinance - guests are welcome to use the hot tub until 10 pm when the hot tub is set to shut off. After that time, please relocate to the upper deck or inside. The hot tub has power only between 7 am and 10 pm.
PARKING: On-site parking is permitted for a maximum of 3 vehicles. There is space for up to 2 cars in the driveway and an additional car on the street in front of the house. RVs, trailers and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance.
-After making a booking and providing their contact information, guests will be sent a contract with our terms in detail to sign and return.
-No same-day reservations past 2pm. Our office closes at 5pm. It should not happen, but in case the system is allowing you to book for same-day arrival and it is after 2pm, please reach out to us before completing your reservation. If it is after 5pm, please do not complete your reservation; no one will be available to process your reservation and prepare for your arrival.
-We adhere to the above night minimums. If your reservation seems to go through for less than the stated night minimums, or if the availability seem too good to be true, be aware that the system may be experiencing an integration issue and your reservation may not be accepted. Again, if you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
CHECK IN/CHECK OUT
Check in is at 4pm for all of our Homes. Check out for The Sandy Star is 12pm. Guaranteed paid Early Check ins and Check outs are sometimes possible during our off-season. Non Paid Early Check ins are occasionally a possibility if the home has been released by the inspector ahead of schedule. If you are interested in a non paid early check in, please contact our office on the morning of your arrival date to check the inspector's schedule. Non paid late check outs are very rarely available.
DOGS: This home is dog friendly, and allows up to 2 dogs. Additional dogs or pets of any other kind are not permitted. Unattended dogs must be crated. Please specify at the time of reservation how many dogs are in your group, and their breeds.
QUIET TIME: 10PM
This is a residential neighborhood and a local ordinance sets quiet time starting at 10 pm. Out of respect for our neighbors, we ask that guests enjoy the hot tub before 10 pm and move conversations inside or to the upper deck at 10 pm. Thank you for helping us honor our neighbors and their need for sleep too!
