The home was built in 1950. It is renovated in keeping with the simple and fun vibe of its original era and retains much charm and character while also providing more modern amenities.
Guests have exclusive access to the entire house and backyard during their stay.
Please contact us by phone, email, or text at any time during your stay with any questions you have. Ed and Kristy are normally not in Pacific Grove but we have nearby helpers who can be there in person if needed.
There are a few stair steps and tight hallways in the house so unfortunately bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible.

Thank you ahead of time for observing our house rules. The City of Pacific Grove requires hosts to obtain a permit to operate a short term rental. Our permit number is #0222. We must comply with several city imposed rules in order to keep our permit in good standing. So we are grateful to our guests for helping us maintain our permit and our ability to rent our house by following our rules.
No smoking is allowed in the house or on the property.
Guests should respect the quiet nature of the neighborhood and refrain from making excessive noise that might disturb the neighbors. The city will revoke a host's permit after two neighbor complaints.
We are permitted for at most 7 adults.
We are permitted for at most 3 vehicles. Guests can park on the driveway and on the street directly in front of the house. Unfortunately, there is not sufficient parking for an RV. Please be considerate of the neighbors by making sure their access to their driveway is never blocked.
We welcome most dogs but please check with us on this before booking. Unfortunately, we do not allow cats due to the prevalence of allergies. We prefer just one dog at a time. We do not allow dogs on the furniture or beds. If your dog is used to being on the furniture and can't resist, please use the throws located in the basket near the TV to cover the furniture during your stay. If your dog is used to sleeping with you, we thank you for looking but this is not the house for you. We can provide a comfortable memory foam dog bed on request.
Please do not leave your dog in the house or backyard while you are not at the home since even the best-behaved dogs can become anxious and destructive when left alone in an unfamiliar place.
Our landscaper, Jamie requires access to the backyard one day (the particular day varies) during the week to keep the garden looking great. This is another reason we request you do not leave your pup in the yard when you are not at the home.
We greatly appreciate it if you make sure there is no dog poop in the yard before your departure.
The property contains stair steps in the following locations:
1 step down from dining area to sun room
1 step down from kitchen to 2nd hallway
2 steps up to 2nd bathroom from hallway
Several steps up to bocce court from lower level backyard
Please note that due to the stairs, all parts of the property are unfortunately not suitable for people with impaired mobility or balance. Guest takes full responsibility for ensuing that all members of their party can safely navigate the stair steps.
PLEASE help us conserve water! The governor of California has declared a statewide water emergency because of the drought, and water use is expensive. Do not run the furnace or fireplace with the doors and windows open and take care to conserve water. Excess utility charges will be charged against the security deposit.
The Guest agrees to use the property only as a private vacation residence for the individuals communicated to the owner. No other use or overnight guests are permitted without written consent of the Owner. The Guest will not hold an event, party, wedding or gathering that exceeds 7 adults.Guest further agrees that they will not allow the property to be used for any improper or illegal purposes.
The host reserves the right to request the guest sign a rental contract.
