This is a rustic yet artistic and quiet ranch-style home on a working farm. It is clean and furnishings are lovingly placed. This is a unique getaway for artists, writers & couples who appreciate nature and respect a sarene environment.
This eclectic 1950s 2 bedroom house is part of a 200 acre sustainable farm. The living room, lush in wood and light, looks onto a private backyard surrounded by acres of woods. This is a somewhat dated ranch house that provides a quiet, serene getaway. The stove and dishwasher are older models but work. The washer and dryer are new.
Only minutes from restaurants, a bustling weekend market, and a river tow path, the lodge is very private but not isolated and minutes from popular tourist river towns in NJ & PA. This is the home of my daughter, her husband . Please treat it and their shared belongings with care.
As a guest you have the whole house and a private back yard that is yours alone. Please note that even with 4 window air-condition units the living room and kitchen can get warm in the summer due to the southwest facing ceiling to floor windows. There is no A/C in the bathroom. You will not encounter anyone going in and out, no part of the house or yard is shared with other tenants/guests. The ranch home is located next to two other similar ranch homes with private yards that separate them. Up the farm lane is the working part of the farm and other common areas. A Farm Market is in operation for the general public that sells farm products.
Walks are welcome down our mile long lane, but please do not enter animal enclosures or go down to the animal barns. To keep it simple any area on the right of lane (as you head up away from where you entered) is free access. The only building on the left of lane accessible is the Farm Market. All other buildings on left or West side are leased to a farmer and NOT accessible. Thanks!!
Look up Stockton & Lambertville (NJ) and New Hope (PA) for restaurants and happenings, all are great unique river towns!
The home and surrounding 1 acre of manicured lawn and 6 acres of woodland (ask for best entryway) and is yours to explore freely. Up the farm lane, is the location of the Stonehouse (where there are other Airbnb listings) where we have accessible common areas ONLY on East or Right side of the Lane. Products from the farm are available to purchase in a Farm Market run by Farmers who lease the West end of farm (or left of lane ) The Store/Market is in the red milk house with the rounded roof. It sells frozen meat from the farm, eggs, and some other products. ALWAYS DRIVE 15MPH on farm lanes....sheep are occasionally in road and a little Corgi lives across the lane in the Red Milkhouse! Please note the driveway is very ROUGH. For your safety and because that side of farm is leased by people NOT running the farm stays animal barns are OFF LIMTS please do not wander into any animal enclosures. ***The wire fences succuring the animals ARE ELECTRIC do not touch or let children near them! If you are unsure of access areas please contact Jeanmarie and I will show you the layout.
I live on the farm and am available.
Coffee, Tea, half n half, sugar, butter, farm fresh eggs and some kind of morning baked good are provided for a day or two. Long term guests should plan on replenishing and buying their own staples and paper products.
Garbage: There is a gray container under the care port. Please empty all garbage before you leave, tying the top securely. Please do not throw loose garbage in the bin to keep it sanitary and clean.
Fireplace: The damper is very hard to open and close. It has a pull cord on the right side of fireplace. For convienence sake and to make sure no one lights a fire with it closed, it will be open upon your arrival. I provide one box of pressed fire logs which are located in the double door closet closest to the living room. One box is enough for a couple day stay, if you are here longer its up to you to purchase more. The pre-pressed logs are easier to keep lit and leave less ash. DO NOT CLEAN OUT THE FIREPLACE. If it is getting full just ask me to come do it, noting how many hours it has been since you had a fire. Most house fires start because of moving and containing ash that is not completely out!
No smoking inside the house. Please dispose of butts in a can or container outside and do not put in garbage unless completely doused with water.
This is a home that is cherished by my daughter, her husband and their little pooch who live here. Please take extra care knowing there are personal items and pictures in the house that mean a lot to them. Thank you and we hope you love your stay as much as we love our homes on the farm.

I have owned and operated my farm for 17 years, caring for creatures and serving my community. I have an uncompromising reverence for animals and a deep commitment to the environment. I started hosting guests and expanding into Agri-tourism in 2014. I have enjoyed meeting people and sharing the beauty of the farm with them. I have two grown daughters who live and help out on our 200 acre farm.
