I had no communication with Simon but instead Eloise, who herself was just charming and to my understanding very happy with the stay. The hot water issue was only reported to us on day 3 (the Sunday am) and attended to within a few hours. The faulty valve was finally made to work by the next day (Monday mid-day it was confirmed), so within 24 hours. Nonetheless we regret the technical breakdown, but it is not correct that we left this unattended for 4 days as Simon implies. Yes indeed the house is 2.5 miles to the very centre of Harrogate but still only 6 to 8 minutes average car travel time (never any traffic) and alternatively a very pleasant walk through the Harrogate Harlow Car and Valley Gardens (that is one mile away...). I can assure all that there is no cat (or similar) in permanent residence. The previous guests kindly brought cat to stay for a few days which was just super - perhaps a cat bowl was left out. I am very open actually to guests bringing any pet - we take many people with dogs for example (and have a paddock for horses even). I am not sure about the Bohemian reference...never thought of this very typical country house estate that way...please see the many pictures for décor etc...Indeed the property is very roomy - inside and out.
