My historic, timber-framed house is in the heart of medieval Kings Lynn, 15 minutes walk from the bus and railway stations. This double bedroom is sweet and bright with windows on two sides and a 5-foot bed. You'll have your own private bathroom, with shower, tub and WC.
There are tea and coffee-making facilities in the room, and you're welcome to help yourself to breakfast in the kitchen. The room has ample storage and a table to work at.
The quiet courtyard where my house stands dates back to 1340: my part was built in 1600. It's a Tudor-style house, with some exposed beams and an original fireplace, in the heart of Kings Lynn's historic quarter.
The room is light, bright and airy, with windows on two sides, and a five-foot bed. It has good bedside lights for reading, plus tea and coffee facilities, plenty of storage and a work-friendly table for business travellers. You'll have exclusive use of the bathroom next door, which has a shower, tub and WC.
Just 10 minutes from the bus station and 15 minutes from the railway station, but in the heart of the historic centre, this is a great base to explore King's Lynn and Norfolk in general. You're a stone's throw from the Tuesday Marketplace, Custom House, King's Lynn Minster and the waterfront.
You'll have exclusive use of this double bedroom and your own bathroom, with tub and shower. There are tea and coffee-making facilities in the room, but you'll share the kitchen-diner with me.
I'm a member of the Kings Lynn Civic Society, and delighted to play tour guide to my town. I have a small library of books on Lynn and the surrounding area, and am happy to advise on trips into the countryside and around town - though I'll also understand if you want to do your own thing.
There is single yellow parking on the street from 6pm to 8am Mon-Sat. Otherwise you need to park at Boal Quay (PE30 5AA). This costs £2.40 per 24hours, which start at 0800. If you arrive after 6pm the cost is £1 until 8am next morning. You can buy a ticket for up to 7 days if you have the correct money. Alternatively parking can be booked online or by phone / text via the Paysmarti app. To do this you need the location code for Boal Quay car park which is 7009.
No smoking in the house.
Pets are not allowed anywhere in the complex.
I live in the medieval heart of King's Lynn in the 17th century part of a courtyard dating from the 14th century, very close to the river. I love historic buildings and culture and am active in the Civic Society. I enjoy showing visitors round the town.
Food is very important to me, I love talking about it, shopping for it and, of course, cooking and eating it. I would grow it if I had a garden, but my house is more important.
Guests are welcome to help themselves to a DIY breakfast of muesli, toast, butter, home made marmalade etc. Tea, coffee milk and orange juice provided.
I am a keen quilter, do a lot of knitting for charity and some reading in between writing letters to the planning department.
