Beautiful, clean, comfortable bedroom with en suite bathroom- downstairs and private. Safe off-street parking for 1-2 cars. Great location and very close to Groote Schuur Hospital, UCT Medical School, and Red Cross Children's Hospital. A 5 min drive to town.
The bedroom is clean, spacious, light and comfy, and has an en suite bathroom (with shower). It's downstairs, along with the kitchen and dining room which leads to a covered patio and a small garden with a solar heated splash pool. You will be provided with a basic breakfast (fruit, cereal, bread, yoghurt) You are more than welcome to use the kettle, toaster and microwave in the kitchen. No smoking inside, but happy for you to smoke outside.
Access to the downstairs area (dining room, outside area, as mentioned above).
Either my brother or myself will be in the house during your stay. The other bedroom, bathroom and living room are upstairs so we wont be in each others way at all. We'll be easy to get hold of should you need anything.
The house is very secure- alarm, trellidoors and electric fence. No smoking inside. There is a housekeeper/gardener who will clean the house every Thursday and do the garden every second Sunday. If you are there on a Thursday and don't want your room cleaned, just let us know.
There is an extra set of linen for the bed should you want to change it. Just give us the old one to put in the wash.
I have 2 little dogs (Dachshunds) who are very much part of the family, so if that's a problem this is not the place for you. They may bark a little at first but are friendly and well behaved, and won't cause any problems for you. You may well end up wanting to take them home with you :)
If you need an airport pick up or drop off I can assist for R100, just let me know.
PLEASE note, the railway passes next to the house (not directly outside any bedroom windows), so trains can be a little noisy at times, but they don't usually bother anyone. Trains run during the day only. If you're a light-sleeper and plan to sleep during the day, please consider alternate bookings to prevent avoidable complaints.
I have a lot of love for my home and ask only that you respect it and look after it.
I'm a born and raised Joburg girl- have been in Cape Town for 4 years. I have a lot of love for this city. I don't ever have nothing to do and the views never get old. My family, dogs and my dancing are without a doubt the most important things in my life. I LOVE to travel- Europe has my heart. I have pretty diverse interests- when I'm not doing the science thing, I'll be dancing, beaching or surfing (trying), reading, at the theatre, movies, shopping, walking dogs, gymming, making the house look pretty or gardening. I enjoy and am happy spending time on my own, but I will also never turn down a few glasses of wine and a night out with friends! :)
