We have hosted guests for 3 years and this is our first negative review. Although we are fairly new to Airbnb, ALL our other reviews have been very positive. It is most unfortunate that, because we requested a nominal fee of $40 for replacement of the broken wall decor, vomit on the bedspread and multitudes of sand throughout the condo, you feel compelled to give us a poor review. Interesting that in one sentence you refer to the condo "a glorified hotel room" and in another call it a "home". We have had other young families stay with us and, as grandparents, totally understand that "stuff happens". What we don't understand is a guest not wanting to take responsibility. It is our expectation for even our own children and grandchildren that they treat our property with respect. Living in Canada, we do not see these things ourselves, but rely on our property manager (who does inspections when guests check out) and our cleaning staff. This is, unfortunately, the first time in 3 years as hosts, that both have reported a problem to us. As for the internet, throughout Mexico, it is not up to the same standard that we enjoy in Canada and the US, so the internet we provide for our guests is no different that that throughout the rest of Mexico. We were happy to have your family as our guests, we are just sorry that you departed with a sour taste in your mouth.
