Lovely double room with own bathroom in Mornington, the gateway to the stunning Peninsula packed full of wineries, scenery, beaches and things to do. The bedroom has a luxurious bed, a comfy chair, coffee table and TV with DVD player. The open-plan living area has air-conditioning and the bedroom has a ceiling fan. Lots of storage in a big double wardrobe, the bathroom is spacious and you have your own toilet. Nice tidy home, across the road from a huge park, gallery & rose garden. Pet friendly!
Guests have their own room, own bathroom and toilet. Shampoo, conditioner and soap is provided and there is a hairdryer in the bathroom. Privacy is ensured with the guest room being at the opposite end of the house from the owner. The house itself is furnished in a traditional way, nice and cosy and easy to make yourself at home in.
Breakfast is included with provisions for a cooked breakfast (bacon, eggs, baked beans), as well as cereals, toast, yoghurt and juice.
Free movie tickets for the Mornington Cinema.
Discounted rates apply for stays of 7 days or more, the calendar will calculate this for you.
All linen is provided and is of good quality. Linen is changed for stays in excess of 7 nights. I don't charge a cleaning fee.
Home cooked dinners are also available with a little bit of notice.
Check in and out times can be flexible but must be reasonable. I don't take bookings for new guests to arrive on the same day as previous guests leave in order to give me plenty of time to have the rooms perfectly clean and tidy, so there is no rush for you to leave on check-out day.
There is designated parking in the street, off street parking in front of the property or if guests prefer you can bring your vehicle onto the property inside the gates.
Access to the kitchen, dining and living areas and a nice deck to sit outside. The TV in the living room has Foxtel. Laundry with washing machine & dryer is available for use too.
I'm happy if guests want complete privacy and also happy to interact, enjoy a drink on the veranda and help with local knowledge and travel plans. I have lived on the Peninsula for 25 years and have a wealth of knowledge on the area and happy to share it.
This is a pet friendly home, I have 2 clean and friendly indoor dogs plus I am currently looking after a little dog who's owner is overseas so guests will need to be at least a bit pet friendly. I am open to considering any pet that guests may be travelling with but unfortunately I have an allergy to cats. Only non-shedding dogs are permitted in the house. I can provide accommodation for small animals such as rabbits, etc.
Smoking is not permitted indoors but okay on the veranda/garden.
Please ensure gates are kept closed.
Only Air BnB guests are allowed on the premises.
The kitchen is to be used for cooking breakfast only prior to 11am - you are welcome to use the kitchen after that time to make hot drinks and serve food, etc. but not for cooking, sorry.
I am a 50 year old single lady, originally from Yorkshire in England but have lived on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula in Australia for 25 years. I have no children but my two beloved dogs, a Spoodle and a toy poodle make up for that.
I work part-time at the hospital in Mornington and also run a small administrative business from home so the third bedroom is an office. I have a wonderful hobby of breeding rabbits and gain much pleasure from seeing the babies grow up and go to loving homes.
I am very tidy around the home, I don't smoke but I do enjoy a drop of wine!
