With a very spacious living area, huge windows with a southwest facing exposure and an open floor plan this bright and beautiful setting will welcome you with a cherry and light atmosphere. (even if it's a gloomy day outside!)
My goal is for you to feel that you have landed in a safe, welcoming, comfortable and conveniently located 'home away from home'.
Whether you're in town for business, pleasure, a quick trip or a long adventurous stay, the time you spend on the run should be followed by a terrific place to wind down and regroup.
As wonderful as my place is, it is NOT to be used for any type of party, group gathering place or any other such thing, unless it has been previously discussed and agreed upon by me prior to making your reservation. This is just not the type of booking I am looking for, as I am trying to maintain the good condition and integrity of my place. There are plenty of other places to book if that is what you are looking for.
Breaking this rule can get you fined or even removed from my place.
This is ONLY to be used by my reserved guests.
NO parties! No smoking! No luncheons. No unapproved gatherings.
*** I can accommodate special requests for parking in the building if necessary during your stay. It will include a slight extra charge.
**It is a true 2bdr/2ba but I use the 2nd room as an office. It does have a pull-out couch.
****I LOVE my furniture and believe you will find it as comfortable as possible if you want to sit and chill out and catch some TV on my '55 LED TV or take a break from your activities.
(Please no bare feet on it tho') Yuk! Also, please do not sit on my furniture after working out and sweating.
(As a new guest, you probably would not like to sit on furniture that smelled like smelly feet or sweat....and, there is one way to avoid that...please observe the above very SIMPLE rules!) Thank you!
**The Master Suite will give you privacy, an extremely comfortable (and brand new!) queen size bed, with an additional couch, huge walk-in closet with plenty of storage space, tons of hangers, loads of shelf space a beautiful marble bathroom with double sink, large vanity and shower with bench.
This unit has lots of windows with fantastic southwest view to catch the sunset if you're around. Within walking distance of hot restaurants, bars, the United Center and the Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks! (And Bulls, of course!)
An easy walk, taxi or bus ride to downtown and all it's offerings: Grant Park, The Bean, the Museums, Soldier Field, The Mag Mile, theaters, The 'Sears" Tower, etc, etc... with the comforts of 'home'!
What more could you want to make your Chicago experience extremely memorable and pleasant?

I have set basic check-in/check-out times as I want to make sure and allow for my cleaning crew to leave it as absolutely clean and glistening for every single guest that arrives. Your assistance in basic care and maintenance is also appreciated. It should be walk-in ready for you and everyone who checks in. :)
I welcome your feedback as it will help me to provide my guests with a place they'd like to recommend to others and visit again themselves.
All of the pictures of the United Center and Millenium Park are posted because you CAN literally walk to them! I am in the middle of the hub of activity in the super hot West Loop!
You will be staying in a secure building that can be accessed by a key fob and then a combination code will be provided to access my unit. These should be left on the counter upon check-out. If the key fob is lost or taken there will be a $250 charge for replacement.
I will probably not be around to interact with my guests due to business traveling, but will certainly be happy to answer any questions or concerns that you may have via cell phone, text or e-mail. My goal is to respond to you as soon as possible! If I am not around I do have a manager that can handle anything else that you may need assistance with.
***My place does come with rules. Very basic rules. This is NOT a hotel. It is a private home, which means I do want certain rules observed. If any of them will interfere with your stay or your agenda in the city, PLEASE feel free to reserve another place that is better suited to your needs.They're not designed to interfere with anyone's fun, but they are designed to ensure that you have a very top tier, clean and well maintained condo to stay in.
***No gatherings, parties, luncheons, etc.
This is not negotiable as I will have an expectation of guests based on the reservation and that makes anything that happens your responsibility, which I prefer not to complicate. If this strict rule is broken there will be $100 fine.
***Misleading reservations will NOT be tolerated. If the number of guests that stay at my place does not match (and exceeds) your actual reservation, there will not only be a charge for the extra guest per nightly rate, but a $100 fine per person. Again, find a better place more suited to your budget if this is an issue.
***NO SMOKING (or drugs!) inside OR on the balcony. (at all!)
***My building has rules and quiet/noise hours. They are 10pm on weekdays and 12am on weekends. Please keep all music, TV, voices at a moderate level. And, do not use the balcony at all past these times.
If these times are too restrictive for you, please reserve elsewhere. If this rule is broken there will be a $100 fine to you.
***None of the above should come into play if you're looking for a clean, quiet and top-notch place to stay.
***PLEASE DO NOT sit on my furniture with sweaty, post-work-out bodies OR bare feet! I like to keep my furniture clean and fresh for all of my guests. You probably don't want to sit on furniture that smells dirty, ((URL HIDDEN) in order to maintain the cleanliness everyone needs to adhere to these rules.
***If you blatantly disregard my bare foot rules, at least grab a towel to put under your feet as THAT can be (URL HIDDEN) couch cannot!
***Please put all used bath towels, washcloths and kitchen towels in front of the washing machine before you leave. I usually ask that a load of towels be started before you leave. (will discuss during stay).
***The garbage chute is down at the far end of the hallway.
***If you have used the thermostat, please re-set temperature to 78* before you leave.
***Please wash any used dishes and put away before you leave that would be appreciated. There is dishsoap under the sink. (Believe it or not, some people need to be reminded to use soap).
***For your safety as well as the protection of this condo there is security cameras in the building and one in my condo. The condo security is affixed on the door only and set to a privacy setting during your stay to ensure your privacy. It will monitor the door when it opens and closes. (so do not try to sneak unregistered people in).
***Willfully breaking these rules can result in the termination of your stay without refund. It is not something I want to do, but will do, (and have done so) when these clearly laid out guidelines are broken. Holding my place to the highest standards is the only way to ensure that you are getting first rate accommodations.

Have all the fun you want when you're out. All I ask is when you're at the condo to treat it like you've been entrusted with a friend's home and care for it accordingly.

Think if everyone had their bare feet on it or sat on the furniture after working out...YUK! It all adds up, the couch cannot be thrown in the washing machine, so in order for the cleanliness to be optimized, I ask that you keep your socks on.
*Please be respectful of the neighbors and the noise level. This is a condo building so when you are out on the balcony the noise carries, so I do NOT use the balcony late at night. I'm not thrilled when my neighbors wake me up when they're on their balcony late, so please do not do the same to them.

A Midwestern girl that loves sports, animals, sunshine and warm weather! I love playing and watching sports...all Chicago teams and my Illini. And, I prefer hot and sunny weather to anything else. :)
I approach Airbnb as I do life, honestly and with good intention. I will deliver on EVERYTHING I advertise my place to be, as I'm sure you would hope for. In return I would like the guests that stay at my place to pack the same good intentions and care for my home and follow the agreed upon guidelines while here.
