I am a senior citizen who enjoys gardening and going to the opera and ballets with my friend. I am a quiet person and have arthritis so moving up and down is difficult. But I still try to garden and keep my large yard and my home tidy and open for guests. I have a Yorkshire Terrier, Duffy, as my companion and he is very friendly and loves company. I also have a cat named Bella who loves to meet everyone who comes into my home.
I have three adult children who are busy successful professionals and are raising their own families. My eldest son lives in Lethbridge with his wife and 3 children. He is also a sailing ship's Captain and sails tourist sailing ships around Vancouver Island in the summer. He also teaches marine biology for the U of Victoria at Bamfield on Vancouver Island every other summer.
My daughter is a Sign Language Interpreter and is raising her 4 children in Victoria BC. Her husband is a dentist and has his own practice.
I am a retired Clinical Social Worker specializing in marriage and family work and also prevention of suicide.
I no longer practice and and am enjoying the peace and quiet of being at home.
My home's motto is: Peace, Safety and Love. These are the three qualities that I live by in my home at all times.
I have traveled a bit and have always enjoyed staying in B&B locations. I believe it is great part of the travel experience and helps you to learn about the places you visit with a more personal view. You learn and understand more about the lives of the people whose country you are visiting and you can make friends who will last a lifetime.
