One private room, with use of jetted tub and shower, for the duration of your stay. Share common areas with your hosts, like the kitchen, TV, BBQ and deck.
We think that the best part of our spacious house is the large deck that overlooks 180 of ocean and both sunrise and sunset views, frequented by hummingbirds and bald eagles.
This should go without saying, but we happily and gratefully welcome people of any and all sexualities, faiths, ethnicity and background.
You are getting one room in our house - sort of like a personal guest! The room is on the upper floor of our house. That floor is approximately 2000 sq feet, and the comfortable guest room that you stay in has a Double bed. You also have access to a large living room, a dining area, a large kitchen and - best of all - a big deck with an amazing view of the Georgia Strait and the coastal mountains. If you're so inclined, there's a wood-burning fireplace as well.
The deck space includes a large BBQ that works very well and reasonably new outdoor patio furniture so you can relax and watch the sun set - or rise, if you're keen.
You have full access to the upstairs part of the house, save and except our bedroom and our office. This is use of a single room in our house, plus equal access to all of the shared space (living room, dining area, kitchen, BBQ deck). Your room is your sanctuary, and we won't go in it.
As this is a 'single-room' style booking, we will generally be around the house ourselves, making use of the common areas. We will interact with you more or less as you see fit - we're pretty comfortable hosts, but happy to back off and let you do your own thing!
The entrance to this property is a VERY steep driveway. This may not be for all people. If you are uncomfortable driving up a VERY steep driveway - or if you can't walk up the stairs to the property - this may significantly impact your enjoyment of the stay. Ask us if you're concerned at all, and we'll tell you about it!
Seriously, though, the driveway is really steep. People always say "Oh, wow, I knew it was steep but I didn't think it would be like that." Yes, it's that steep.
Also note that if you don't have your own vehicle, we're maybe not the best spot, since the nearest grocery stores and so on are about a 5-minute car ride - which is a long walk.
Any caught smoking will be assumed to have caught on fire and will summarily be doused with water.
And charged a cleaning fee, of course. But aside from that, you'd be pretty wet.
