Just off rue de France, and therefore close to everything you need, Victoria retains her beautiful French original features but with elements of modernity added to make your stay great.
The master bedroom has a king size bed (UK King) wardrobe and antique dressing table and. There is second comfortable double bedroom.
Both bedrooms have floor standing fans as the ceiling fans work only intermittently and not particularly efficiently.
Shower, loo, and wash basin. Please note that the shower appears to have multiple horizontal jets, but works only as a normal shower.
The living area has a stunning parquet floor, three seater sofa,
casual chair, writing desk and large entertainment unit housing a 26”
LCD TV (French TV channels) Broadband Internet, Smart Box (which allows you to use the TV as, in effect, an android device) and CD player. (Please note that we cannot be held responsible for the disruption of Internet access caused by Internet providers) The ceiling fan is ornamental in this room but there is a very efficient floor fan provided.
The separate kitchen is small but surprisingly well equipped with a
three ring gas hob, electric oven/grill, microwave, a fridge-freezer, washing machine, kettle, toaster, and cafetière.
Pans, plates etc are all here waiting for you.
The living area has a lovely round oak dining table and chairs for four.
It's on the second floor, there is no lift but the stairs are fairly easy.
You have full access - it's your apartment while you are here!
I'm available for advice etc when needed, otherwise I keep out of guests' hair!
We provide towels (one bath towel, and one hand towel per person) and bed linen for both beds. If there are fewer than 4 people staying please ask in advance, as we can give a discount for either or both of unused bed, and unused towels.
We provide several toilet rolls, but please remember that this is a self catering apartment.
Please note that there is an charge of 50 euros for arrivals between 7.00 pm and 9.30 pm. Whilst we cannot personally Meet and Greet after 9.30 pm we have an arrangement with a local Airport Transfer Company (Friend in France) who will collect you from the airport, deliver you to the apartment and provide you with a set of keys. We will book and pay for the transfer for you and will invoice you separately for 60 euro which must be paid prior to arrival. (We don't charge the late arrival fee on top).
Please note that we need at least 48 hours notice to arrange this, and it is not available on Sundays.
Airbnb only allow us to state double or Queen size beds. In France that is totally inadequate. One is King size, the other double based on UK bed sizes..
This is a residential building, and we expect guests to behave responsibly and with respect for residents.
We don't want to put dampers on anyone's enjoyment of their holidays, but excessive noise late at night will cause complaints from residents.
We are unable to accept children under the age of 11 or pets.
Please note that whilst our usual check-out time is 10 am, we will try and accommodate a later check-out. If we have a same day arrival we will need full access to the apartment by 10.30 but you will be able to store your (packed) luggage until at least noon, and possibly later, depending on the arrival time of the next guests.
However, you must ask us at least 48 hours before your departure date.
We give a guaranteed arrival window of between 3 an 6pm.
Where possible we will make arrangements for earlier or later arrivals. Please ask, and remember that whoever meets you could live over an hour away, so advance notice is essential.
Mature in age (if occasionally less so in attitude) I am easy going, love the South of France, and there are few things better in life than helping guests enjoy their hard earned holdays!
