I live in a condominium community, so being respectful and quiet is crucial so as not to disturb my neighbors. I ask that no outside guests be invited into my home. Only the visitors on the rental agreement are welcome. Treat my home as you would expect me to treat yours. Leave it in the condition you found it.
Hi! My name is Kathy Rubin. I live in a beautiful, bright condominium in Marina del Rey, Los Angeles, CA. I am within walking distance to the iconic Venice Beach, the Venice Canals, Abbot Kinney Blvd, great restaurants, the marina and of course the beautiful Pacific Ocean. I choose to live this close to the ocean because I love the water, having had the good fortune of growing up on the east coast, one block from the Atlantic. It's in my blood!
Prior to living here, I lived in New York City and before that I spent a year and a half in Milan, Italy, where I studied singing. While I was in Italy, I was lucky enough to have a place to stay in Venice any time I wanted to go there. It was so incredible to be in such a welcoming environment with people who made me feel at home. This happened time and again, all over Europe, of course pre-Airbnb!
This is the kind of host I am. I want my guests to feel at home and completely comfortable in the warm and welcoming space I have created. Whether it's a nice cappuccino in the morning or a glass of wine watching the sunset from my deck, I would like visitors to feel that this is their home away from home, and to really get a taste of Southern California living in the short time they are here.
I am a very social person and I love getting to know new people and to learn about their lives. In fact, I created a theatre storytelling piece with real women telling their own stories so I look forward to hearing the stories of my guests.
That being said, I respect people's privacy and in no way intrude on your space. I look forward to meeting interesting people from all over the world and sharing our stories.
