Relax. Explore the Hibiscus Coast from our comfy home and enjoy stunning views across the Hauraki Gulf from Sky Tower to Great Barrier Island.
Located directly across from the Little Manly Beach reserve, which is fantastic for walking and swimming.
Our home was built in the 60s and as such is neither new nor immaculate. It's less about plastercrete, polished steel and marble surfaces and more about family, warmth, comfort and good vibes.
Kids are well catered for with books, XBox360, a trampoline and surf/boogie/skim boards and wetsuits.
The view from either deck or the lounge is simply amazing, and ever-changing depending on the mood of the sea. You can watch superyachts on sea trials, yachts racing, cruise ships, and seabirds working shoals of fish over dinner or a glass of wine - all from the couch. Dolphins and Orca are regular visitors to the beach over Spring.
There are 3 bedrooms:
1. The master Bedroom features a super-king sized bed, double wardrobe space and has a small office attached.
2. The second bedroom has a double bed and double wardrobe space.
3. The third bedroom (our son's) has a single camp bed with a mattress.
There's also a double airbed and pump in one of the cupboards if you need additional space.
You can help yourself to the entire upper level of the house (we'll be storing some personal effects downstairs.)
There's a BBQ, firepit, outdoor furniture and cantilevered umbrella for you to use on the back deck.
There's also a big screen TV and IMac computer for your use in the Lounge.
As we'll be away during your stay, one of our friends will be available to greet you on arrival, give you a tour, local area orientation and keys. She will organise to meet you again when you depart and will be available by phone for help if need be.
Our daughters cat - "Robert" - will be hanging about, so we'll leave some cat food in the pantry. If you wouldn't mind filling his bowls with fresh water and biscuits every now and then that would be stellar, let us know if this is a problem and we'll organise another solution.
Please treat our home as you would your own. No parties please.
We've left you use of the BBQ and Mac computer too so please take care of these too - e.g. please clean the BBQ if you use it.
We don't allow smoking in the house.

My wife Kirstine and I love to travel, however unfortunately don't often get the time to do so. We're respectful guests, being reasonably quiet and unobtrusive. We love fine food and wine, movies and reading.
Wherever we go we like to immerse ourselves in the real local culture so Airbnb is perfect for our adventure plans.
