Simple luxury and outdoor living with camp-fires, cooking & hammocks, wood-fired baths and stars. Warm and cosy all year round. Just 3 miles from the beaches of Cardigan Bay and the colourful harbour town of Aberaeron.
We are a tiny (4 pitch) glamping site. 4 uniquely designed wooden eco dens (pods) are set within a hidden 2 acre meadow. This is yours to explore for the duration of your stay.
The dens feature double glazing and heating to keep you warm and comfortable all year round. Each Den features a fire pit and we provide tripod cookers so you can cook a delicious stew or barbeque over your campfire.
There is also a separate communal area for cooking, eating and chatting. This is well equipped with everything you will need to rustle up delicious simple meals.
Hot showers and flushing loos are also located here.
Guests have their own Den (pod) with a double bed and the option of up to two singles or a daybed. There is also the option to add in an infant travel cot or a child size 'z'bed to allow for 2 adults and 3 children. Each den has a foldaway table and stacking stools, an electric socket, shelving, curtains, hooks, private verandah, picnic table, firepit and cooking tripod, log stools, a hammock and great views..
We live on site up the track in our traditional welsh cottage, you are welcome to come and find us if you need anything. We come down to site to clean, keep the log burner going and do general maintenance. We are a new business and so we are constantly doing new projects to improve and build on the existing facilities.
Mobile reception on site is patchy with some networks better than others. Please don't rely upon being able to use your phone while you are here. We suggest that you embrace the opportunity to switch-off during your stay- it makes for a much more relaxing break. We have a land-line for emergency use.
Friendly, well behaved dogs are welcome on site but please ensure that they are kept on a lead at ALL TIMES. This is because we are surrounded by working farmland. Please also ensure you always clean up after your dog- there are children on site. Please also consider that other guests may not be so keen on dogs (many children are frightened of them) and be mindful of this whilst on site.
We are happy for you to explore the campsite as much as you like but please be careful not to stray onto our neighbour's land (clearly marked). We have got very supportive neighbours and we want to keep it that way. If you would like to explore further by foot there are plenty of lovely footpaths on our doorstep, we will be happy to point you in the right direction.
We do not allow amplified music to be played on site. This is for the benefit of other guests and for our neighbours (sound travels far here, especially at night). Acoustic music (guitars, accordions etc) played with consideration for your fellow campers, is welcomed. Most guests have come to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, not rowdy neighbours, however well-intentioned and jovial they may be.
Lights out and no loud noise after 10pm please, (quiet conversation is fine). We want everyone to have a good night's sleep.
Please do not forage firewood or kindling from the trees on site. We supply you with a generous basket of firewood each day. You are welcome to buy more, just come and ask.
Please take care when lighting fires, keep them small and manageable and only light them in the designated fire pits. PLEASE DO NOT EVER LEAVE YOUR FIRE UNATTENDED. WHEN YOU GO TO BED PLEASE MAKE SURE THE FIRE IS OUT
Please do not smoke or light candles in the dens.
We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal possessions or vehicles during your stay. Please ensure any valuables remain locked in your den or car.
Every effort has been made to ensure guests safety on site but we cannot accept responsibility for any accidental injuries.
Please let us know of any breakages or damage as soon as you can so that we can repair or replace them.
We are Jessie and Lyndon and we run a glamping site at our home in West Wales in the UK. Glamping is a term used to describe glamorous camping. No need to bring a tent as you get to stay in a unique camping den. These are warm dry, heated 'tents' with double glazing and turf roofs. There is a communal area for cooking, eating, chatting and showering.
We moved back to Wales after spending a decade living and working in London and some time spent in New Zealand, Sidney and various places around the UK. We love food, the natural world, meeting new people and sharing this beautiful, quiet and undiscovered part of the world with them. As our guests you will pretty much be left to your own devices, unless you need us, in which case we are just up the road in our cottage.
