Hidden beauty near Galata Tower: The coziest apartment; fully furnished giving a feeling of comfort, warmth and relaxation!
Stay in the best location of İstanbul with the owners living in the same building to offer you any help or guidance you need.
Hello there! You'll notice that we've got a few different "beauties of Galata" : ) on Airbnb; that's because we're accepting guests to four flats in the same building. This one in particular is on the 2nd floor!
Welcome to our flat, allow us to explain it to you in a bit more detail : )
Where it is:
The apartment is located at Hacımimi Mh., Kölemen Çk. No:4 . You can check out the address on Maps to pinpoint the exact location of the place : ) It is a 35m2 apartment that is nicely laid out so it doesn't feel too small at all.
The apartment's in the heart of İstanbul (known as Galata district), and the Galata Tower is about 2-3 minutes of walking distance. The building's in a dead-end street so the apartment itself is rather quiet with no traffic passing nearby. Our street is somewhat secluded with many friendly cats that love being fed so it's especially better for cat lovers : ) The street's located right under the famous "Serdar-i Ekrem" street that takes you to the Galata Tower so you'll be staying near small and cozy cafes, design boutiques, vintage stores many other places that are worthy of exploring. There are 3 markets all within 2 minutes of walking distance as well.
The apartment is a 1+1 that has everything that you may need during your stay(including us; your ever-so-friendly hosts : ) ). It was originally designed to be an apart-hotel room so inside you'll find a laundry machine, all kitchen equipment, micro-wave oven, an iron and an ironing table, a fridge, an AC, a plasma-TV, towels, shampoo, hairdryer etc.; it's basically a home that you can live in without having to bring anything yourself. There's also a big table; the brown table that you see in the photos open up into a quite big and impressive dining table : ) There's one double bed and one sofa-bed that opens up to a one-and-a-half sized bed(bigger than a single, smaller than a double).
Defne and I are also living in the same building on the first floor and we'll be helping you out with anything you may need!
The place is very easy to get to no matter where you're coming from. It's about 5 minutes away from the nearest subway station. Just let us know where you're coming from (the airport, the Asian side etc.) and we'll give you specific directions on how you can reach here.
We're living in the same building on the first floor so we'll be there to help you out with anything you'll need. We'd be happy to show you around the neighbourhood, give you tips on how best to utilize your time in İstanbul or even share a drink or two over a nice chat! Don't feel pressured about this in any way though, it's perfectly alright if you want to just stay here - we wouldn't get in your way : )
There is NOT a dishwasher in the apartment : (
There isn't an elevator in the building but you don't need one either since you have to climb just one floor.
This is a renovated historical building so the windows are a bit heavy to open up : )
Our neighbours sometimes like listening to music with their windows open so you may find yourself listening to a classical music tune in the street every now and then : )
This is a non-smoking room, and we can not allow pets in sadly. But you'll find many cats to pet on the street!

I am an independent game developer, studying in Physics Engineering. Traveling abroad is all about meeting new people and getting a taste of the "local feeling" of cultures and cities for me, rarely do I find myself committing to actual touristic attractions. I usually spend a little time staying inside my accommodations, you'll find me either walking around tirelessly-and sometimes aimlessly, just for the sake of seeing new places- or sipping some beer (hopefully stout, and I'd love to share that : ) at an active city centre, taking a rest from all the walking. Oh and, here's the game I'm currently developing:
