Our rental is 42 miles from the Yosemite's Big Oak Flat Entrance. We are kid & pet friendly hosts. The studio features a fenced yard with a gas BBQ, refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee brewer, toaster, electric skillet, plates, bowls & utensils.
We originally built our guest house for our families and friends. After we retired, our family encouraged us to share our relaxed country living, cozy cabin setting and genuine hospitality with travelers to Yosemite. Although visitors come to visit Yosemite, they also discover that the Gold Country communities are rich in history and beauty. We have loved meeting every guest; and through them, we've discovered that our special niche is to provide comfortable accommodations in which visitors can go sight seeing, while their pets kick back safely in a fenced yard.
One of our guests booked for a week and extended their stay. They were not able to post their review within the 14 day timeline. AirBnb advised them to add it to our profile. So….here it is:
"Originally we planned to stay at Dru´s and Ron´s for a week. Eventually we found out that almost two weeks were gone.
The room was like a five star hotel, because it is so beautiful and practical. It is very beautifully decorated. Also it is a very good place to stay with dogs. We travelled to Yosemite and back many times during daytime. There are several routes you can drive to get to Yosemite and see different views.
We also found interesting water systems and parks close to Dru´s and Ron´s house. We are from Finland and we have never seen anything like that because water was so low during this drought year. Also, we have not seen house boats which we don't have in Finland. We recommend a visit to Lake McSwain Recreation area, which is about a 20 minute drive. It is as beautiful as Yosemite. You can swim, fish, paddle and row.
Ron and Dru were gracious hosts. They were respectful of our privacy and were available to answer our questions or provide additional amenities for our comfort. They welcomed our dogs and kindly checked on them during the day while we hiked in Yosemite."
