The building is part of the only remaining Georgian CBD Intersection in Australia, combining the Treasury building, St Davids Cathedral (Monday night the bells peal of an hour) a real sense of history being here.The other two corners house Legal firms and the Stone buildings of which 137 Macquarie St is part.

Experience the feeling of living in an original 1840s' building in the ultimate central position, walkable, no car required. Our guests may want to have a higher level of comfort than a hotel room provides.

Hobart is a little gem of city with a growing international flavour, great dining , superb produce, cleanest air in the world, spectacular scenery, MONA to visit - arrival by water adds to this stunning art museum experience, fly with Par Avion to the South West Tasmanian World Heritage Listed Wilderness - a special treat not to be missed. Easy access to Hobart International Airport, 13 mins shuttle from our door, 1:15 mins to Melbourne 1:55 mins to Sydney and 455,000 people in the whole island state.

The building and associated apartments have keyless access via a keypad at the front door of Macquarie Street and at each of the apartments. Allowing guests to enter upon arrival without having to formally check in.

This apartment is on the 3rd floor of a Heritage building with no lift.

Bedroom & Dressing Room - Luxury King Size Bed choice of non allergic bedding, Heating, window with a view of Mt Wellington and Hobart City Skyline, oversized dressing room with all seating and storage space.

Living Room - Elegant furnishings with Sony iPod Dock and 46" Samsung 3D LED LCD TV & Blu Ray Player. Carpeted Flooring and Heating

Kitchen/Dining - Oven, Washing Machine and Condenser Dryer, Nespresso Coffee Machine, private cellar of Tasmanian Wines.

Bathroom- Complimentary Molton and Brown toiletries and luxury bathroom linen with guest robes.

General Amenities include an Ironing Board & Iron and an Electronic Safe.

BabyBjorn Travel Cot with Linen available upon request.

The apartment is non smoking and is serviced daily.

No persons under 12, small babies are fine.

Additional Features

Bookings are to be a minimum of 2 nights unless by arrangement. Description of the property is given in good faith and no responsibility for misinterpretation will be accepted. Refunds will not be given if you are not satisfied with the accommodation.
Bed Linen and towels are supplied, in addition to full kitchen facilities. Cots are available by prior arrangement, but cot linen is not provided.
Permitted Use of the property is for quiet enjoyment, parties and functions are strictly prohibited. The property is not equipped for large groups or functions. Disturbance to our neighbours (including excessive noise) is prohibited and may result in termination of rental and loss of bond.
No smoking inside, no pets allowed.
Any breach of the above conditions permits the owner to refuse the access code, or immediately terminate the occupancy with forfeiture of your tariff.
The owners take no responsibility for tenants’ personal property during their stay. Damage, breakages, theft and loss are tenants’ responsibility.


Guests will be sent a 4 digit access code 24 - 36 hours prior to their arrival. The code will open the main door to Macquarie Street as well as the Apartment door. Upon checkout your code will no longer work.

Quite satisfied with the apartment! It is in the center of CBD, easy walk to the waterfront and various shops and restaurants!!! The apartment is clean and nice and even better than the five-star hotel!!!

Good reason the bedroom I the key highlight photo! Beautiful linen and really great touches like big bath towels and bath accessories in big bright white bathroom. Location couldn't be better, and having parking was a big bonus being in the CBD. Awesome coffee shop right at the front door makes it extremely convenient for breakfast. Just a few blocks from Salamanca, very pleasant walking city. Altogether very pleasant stay.

The apartment was absolutely lovely, and a wonderful place to stay for a special birthday celebration weekend. We packed a huge amount in to the weekend, and the apartment was the perfect place to come back to, have a glass of wine, and just relax. It is located within a very easy stroll to Salamanca market, as well as the waterfront (including the MONA ferry). Communication with Diana was exceptional, and she even made an excellent suggestion for our final lunch on the Sunday (Peppermint Bay cafe ... highly recommended!). I would happily stay there again next time I'm in Hobart.

The host Diana is absolutely wonderful and communications are almost instantaneous. I booked the place while on my way and it was ready by the time I arrived a couple of hours later. She was also very nice and let me stay on a few more hours since my flight was leaving a little late in the afternoon. The interior of this place is immaculate and the bed is absolutely divine. Overall the place is very hip and I love the interior. However climbing 3 flights of stairs is an issue specially with baggage. So unless you are ready for it watch out. The location is very central but with absolutely no view of anything. The coffee shop downstairs is really great and I loved it. Plenty of places to eat and drink and only a few minutes to absolutely anything. Expect some street noise so if you are a light sleeper it would be a problem. Overall lovey place but only if you don't mind the little issues I have given above.
