We are able to answer any questions about our home, the neighborhood or Brooklyn in general. We have lived in NYC for 17 years and love our town. Feel free to contact us!
Built c.late 1800s, our home was initially used as a horse stables and most recently as a candy store. We are not far from the Old Stone House where the famous Battle of Brooklyn was fought, now a museum and park/playground which is a great place for picnics, as is Prospect Park.
A block-and-a-half away is one of Brooklyn's famous artisanal ice cream shop, Ample Hills, which is right next to Dinosaur BBQ (amazing ribs btw) and Royal Palms, an indoor shuffleboard court and bar.
Around the corner from us is Lavender Lake, a restaurant/bar with a large backyard area, great draft beers and an incredible menu.
Behind our house is a school yard with a playground, running track and picnic benches and tables. A block away from that is Carroll Park!
We are also close to a fun indoor tennis court called Court 16, an indoor rock climbing facility called Brooklyn Boulders, and an indoor archery center.
Scores of restaurants, bars and shopping can be found on Smith Street and Court Street, which stretches into the quaint neighborhood of Cobble Hill.
It's a fun environment for kids and adults and we hope you'll have a great time during your stay!
No smoking within the house or in the back yard.
You're welcome to have a guest or two stop by but no parties.
A third floor apartment with a separate entrance is also our home so noise should be reasonable.
