There are 3 cosy Apartments if one is booked check the other 2. Modern appliances Kitchen & bathrooms. Morning Sunshine. Walking distance to shops. 55 inch Widescreen internet TVs latest generation with Netflix etc.
Tasmania is cold in the winter. Our apartments are fully carpeted with pure wool carpets & infloor heating in kitchen and bathroom. Thick pelmet curtains & gas logfires etc. Most other places have polished floor or only rugs so they are not warm in winter. Please compare.

Ashley Court is a spacious art deco bock of apartments. I have renovated them to be homes not really as rentals but thought I would try renting rather than selling them, and frankly, I got carried away with decorating.
Each Apart is 6 rooms & a spacious 120sq mtrs, extensive views, gas log fires also in floor heating. Granite bathrooms with double showers and a hot soaking tub, Egyptian cotton bath sheets, modern kitchens, cinema TVs & DVD player, 2 bedrooms with QS beds, Dining room, Lounge (including fold out couch), bathroom (separate toilet), wall to wall pure wool carpets.The kitchen is modern with granite benches, double door fridge freezer, new dishwasher and gas cooktop electric fan forced oven, also convection microwave. There are no common walls.
Wall to wall lush Tasmanian pure wool carpets, ( the carpet mill only did upmarket carpets and went broke ) in floor heating in bathrooms and kitchens, and gas log fires, on demand natural gas hot water at twice the regulatory required amount, as well as goose down bedding. Hobart can get very cold at night, so I have heavy drapes with pelmets to stop cold draughts. There is no point having windows without pelmets to stop the freezing air currents flowing down from the windows. Natural Gas has only been connected for a few years and many places, even the large Hobart hotels do not yet have good heating. You may not appreciate how cold Hobart can be. These apartments are furnished and heated accordingly.
The price is for up to 3 people using 2 bedrooms and 2 queen beds. There is an extra charge for using the sofa bed if you only booked for 3 or 4 people, no extra charge for using the sofa bed if you booked for 5 people, please get a no obligation quote.
We have hosted a number of Mona's artists curators for months at a time, as well as visiting surgeons from the local hospital, before listing here. Situated cnr Auvergne Av and Augusta rd near boutique North Hobart Restaurant strip on bus stop but within walking distance to everything. wine merchant, deli, 3 minute walk to gym, local pool and boutique art house cinema. The bus stop is directly outside or a taxi to the CBD is $10.


All facilities are independent. If parking at night it may be advisable for a person to enter via the side gate to trigger the automatic night lights.
NBN Wi-Fi available.


There is a caretaker in apt4 if there are any problems but otherwise there is no interaction.


Each apartment has a big selection of videos and there is a large video store 100 meters away. Each apartment has nice views out over the valley and at night the lights are beautiful. If arriving at night it may be advisable for someone to walk in via the side entrance so as to trigger the night lights for the car parking. Please turn off the heating when you are not there as energy is very expensive in Tasmania. Weekly rate is for winter only.

The apartment is not suitable for young children under 5.
Please note, the showers/baths in the apartments are quite deep. Anyone with health concerns or difficulty moving should use caution when entering and exiting the tub.

One small dog allowed at no extra charge. (Undercover secure provision for one small dog under our inside stairway). Smoke free inside building, Family friendly no parties... We are on the corner with Auvergne Av and Augusta Rd. Entrance from the side in Auvergne Av. Ample car parking. The toilet is separate to the bathroom if you have a teenager who wants to shower for hours. On demand Gas hot water. The toilet also has a bidet hose for our Asian friends who like to wash their vitals. The kitchen has Smeg full oven and natural gas cooktops. twin door full size freezer refrigerator. In floor heating in kitchen and bathroom and gas log fire in Lounge room.

A lovely, clean art deco apartment just streets away from delicious cafes, grocery stores bottle shops and more. If you're looking for a warm and homely place that has most of the amenities you need, this is the place for you. Easy check in and check out. If you're planning on cooking, the kitchen is great, but be aware you need to bring herbs/spices etc as there is no pantry. A lovely place to stay.

Fantastic place to stay with a few close friends. Great modern home appliances and nice clean rooms throughout. We all absolutely enjoyed our stay here and we're comfortable (and warm) the entire time.

A great location, being only 5 minutes from the city and 10 from Salamanca. A great corner store/deli and bottle shop just a short walk away. The North Hobart cafe/restaurant strip walking distance. The apartment itself was Art Deco (so as long as you like the older furnishings, which we did) so very homey and comfortable. We stayed in late April so it was getting cold and the gas heated warmed the apartment very well. My only comments to note. The bathroom has a huge bath/shower with 2 shower heads. It was awesome, but an older person or someone with restricted movement may have trouble stepping into it. Was easy for me though. Also the car park is a bit tight/tricky especially if other cars there. We had a little Nissan hatch so managed ok, but if you had a bigger car it would be a bit tricky. However, they're fairly minor and my friend and I really enjoyed our stay.

Host not always in Hobart. But there is a care take live permanently in Apt 4 and can help if there are any problems.
