This is a home for a couple of the tenants and a quiet community. You really can here people talking at the pool from inside. And they can here you too! So this is a more relax area, no partying, you can do that at all the beach bars though :) no smoking, fragile things decorated, so small children may not be the best, not to break! No pets (sorry!) nonsmoking.

hello all!
My name is Amanda. I am originally from the Upper Pennisula of Michigan, but now live on the island of St. Croix in the USVI. My partner and I live in the condo down here and love it but have to travel a lot since our family is back in Michigan and his rotations are some times in Michigan as well. I am a nurse and love to travel. We love to host events, dive, and travel together. I have found to LOVE the island of St. Croix and the people. It's quiet, slow paced, and has some beautiful beaches. The West side (where we live) is not the busiest part of the island, but that is why I enjoy it the most. The best beaches (I think) on the island are 5 minutes away. If you like the fast paced ways of St. Thomas this island is probably not for you. Its much larger with the same population so you feel like there is space. Also much less touristy. I LOVE to eat food and this place does not fall short of good places to eat. Downtown Frederiksted there are a couple great places to eat, like fresh mahi or lobster? There are plenty of options for you. Or drive the North shore road and eat at one of the more casual dining places which do not fall shore either on taste! Another great place would be in the main town Christiansted, where there are more than enough restaurants to choose from. Want to explore more? head to the East end of the island (about 45 minutes) and explore the eastern most point of the USA and be the first to see the sunrise. Also don't be shy to stop at any of those random fruit stands you see on the side of the road. They usually have the BEST and freshest produce, I love to make smoothies from fresh fruit from the island for breakfast and constantly brew kombucha tea. So there will be a supply of that for you. I keep a photo album of my favorite places to go in St. Croix and the other Caribbean islands. I suggest staying in St. croix then from here going to multiple islands and seeing which one suits you best. After all it literally is an "island hopper" plane ride away (less than 20 min ride to St. Thomas). You did make it all the way down here, you probably should go to a couple islands while you are here :) My Favorite island is Jost Von dyke drinking a painkiller on the beach (but maybe its my favorite because we end there after drinking all day on a boat! ha!) second to that is Virgin gorda to see the baths, then the beautiful beaches on St. john. St. John is usually the destination for most since it is so beautiful, but its just expensive, you can have just as nice beaches here on St. Croix, but its just not advertised. Its like the forgotten step child of the USVI. We all like it that way, and wand to keep it that way :) But I do want to share this amazing island with others and share my positive experience here. The island reminds you that their are many things in life you can live without. Its simplicity is refreshing. You can't always get what you want, but usually cant get what you need. :) god bless!
as of now we live in our Condo and there is NO availability. we are keeping this page in case for the future if our unit does become available and for those who want a little info on st. croix
