A small quiet, traditional Spanish family holiday destination set with the most amazing back drop of mountains and hills, and with the vista being the sea and trees, it is really stunning. A decently stocked supermarket, a few local restaurants which are good. Mazarron is not far and has lots of nightlife and restaurant. We highly recommend Viggos for atmosphere and food. There is also a Lidl in Mazarron which is great for steak and salad and other provisions. There is a brilliant little gas BBQ on the property. Most people do not speak English, perhaps upload the app Duo Lingo to help you. You need a car, no getting away from it.
We absolutely loved the house, I wanted to buy it! The house is split into two completely separate apartments. The hosts live above Casa Tania. Two bedrooms and a bathroom were adequate for our family of 3, however, it can accommodate more than 3 people. The outdoor sofa and kitchen were adorable and the pool is so clean and well maintained. I am slightly OCD about cleaning, the hosts must be on my waive length as everything was super clean and smelled good. Even the complimentary towels smelt divine the fabric softener was (URL HIDDEN) the little things! For example, little breakfast treats, a washing machine (you never know when you will need one), cleaning supplies, shower gel, shampoo, hand soap, etc. It is run like a hotel just without the food.
What can I say about Choneta and Jose. Such lovely, lovely people who couldn't do enough to accommodate us. Such truly genuinely good people. The added bonus is Jose is also a massage therapist. My husband had a bad back and Jose worked his magic on him. We took the time to get to know them and we truly wish them the very best as they deserve it. They never encroached our privacy and we really enjoyed getting to know them.
The fur babies
This paragraph might not apply to you as the dogs are not part of the experience and the hosts are very respectful if you do not want the dogs near you. There are two dogs that live in the apartment above Casa Tania, a Belgian Shepherd and a small mixed breed dog. My hubby and son absolutely fell in love with them, taking them for walks, feeding them and generally obsessed with them. My son cried when he realised that he would not see them again and he hasn't stopped talking about them since. Basically if you like dogs you will love these two. If you don't like dogs or don't want them near you the hosts will respect your wishes.
We had a wonderful stay and we hope to go back again to see them. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
