Quintessential San Francisco! Entirely separate, private unit including full bathroom with shower and tub. In a modern Green House – reclaimed floors, rainwater water catchment, solar with high-end finishes. Extra large suite with 15+ foot tall windows.

Queen bed (Japanese platform with queen futon and topper) and sitting area overlooking private landscaped garden, small landing at entrance has private bath with tub, shower and vanity. Small bar sink, frig and basic tea and coffee making.

Queen bed is firm with topper, people love it, but if you don't like a firm mattress it might not be for you. Couch that converts to day bed with full mattress, converts by taking off the backs– for second or third guest. All linens are provided. Equipped mini prep area, bar sink, small dishwasher, tea and coffee making, small table, plates, etc.; wireless internet. There is no television.

Magical garden with benches, plantings, and evening lighting via sliding doors right in your room – enjoy a meal outdoors.

Active Sports:

Stowe your golf clubs, surf board, bikes in my garage while visiting - there are many active sporting areas nearby. Ocean Beach and Presidio is 15 minutes drive; golf courses nearby including Harding and Presidio.

Parking:

No limit parking in the neighborhood. Great public transportation - bus, street car, BART; 2 blocks to company buses: (G..oo..gle), (Face....book) and Genetech, 7 minutes to CalTrain at 22nd Street Station - and off to Silicon Valley. Every other week street cleaning - check signs.

Private entrance is via garage – I give you a code. Entry via garage via a slight down slope to garage and electric keypad door. There are 5 steps with handrail going down the Jr. suite entrance.

Street Parking & Public Transportation & Other

Parking is available with no time limit (a rarity in San Francisco) in front and surrounding streets. Street cleaning happens every other week and differs per street. Check all signs nearby.

Public transportation including Bart, Muni and Muni LightRail is 1 to 3 blocks away. 3 bus lines within 2 blocks (lines 24, 35 and 48); streetcar 6 blocks away (J-Church) which goes directly to Outer Sunset Beach or downtown via Transfer

Downtown ~ Union Square is 1.5 miles away. Fisherman's Wharf, North Beach, AT&T Park and the Golden Gate Bridge can be accessed using the muni and the J line. Uber cars are prevalent $7 anywhere in San Francisco – one way use Uber Pool.

You come and go as you please without entry to the main house and interaction with owner - enjoy the private area and quiet garden. Dog

I have a dog named Hannah. She is very sweet and familiar with guests downstairs - she stays upstairs with me. (You may hear her bark only at feeding time around 8:00a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and dinner time around 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. she is very quiet otherwise and out with her runners club 3x week.

Please be careful when transiting through garage and mindful of my vehicle with your wheeling bags.

Cleaning and Gardening

If you are staying more than ten full days over a Wed. the unit will be cleaned the 2nd Wed. of your stay in the late morning, typically around 11:00 a.m. If you do not wish there to be access for cleaning, please notify me 24 hours in advance. Cleaning person will knock before entry.

During the dry season, the garden is accessed on the weekend, typically Sunday afternoon, for basic garden clean-up, removal of leaves, etc. Access to the garden is through the Jr. Suite and sleeping quarters, if you do not want the garden cleaned, please notify me in advance. If gardening or cleaning is occurring, will knock before entry.

By booking this listing, you consent to access as per above, for purposes of cleaning and basic garden cleaning. For any necessary repairs, you will be notified 24 hours advance of the necessary time of entry - I will seek to accommodate your schedule, i.e. when you are out of the suite and I will be with any contractor during the work.

Noe is family-friendly and quiets down in the evening. We expect guests to respect the residential nature of the neighborhood and keep noise to a minimum, especially in garden and when coming-and-going, especially quiet after 10 pm and before 8 am, particularly when coming and going and if in the garden.

Parties and loud music and behavior are not allowed at all, any time of day or night. If you violate this house rule and have any loud party behavior in the suite or garden, airbnb will be contacted to take actions to terminate your booking and remove you from the suite.

Enjoyed our week at Gary's place, it's just as clean and beautiful as depicted. The deck is gorgeous, and huge windows a major boon. Lots of great restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. Gary was super responsive with messaging, and when we needed to extend our stay an extra day he was able to help us make those arrangements without any fuss. Small note: the bed is a futon on a queen-sized bed platform. Having lived in Japan, this didn't phase me in the least, but it's worth noting for those more accustomed to American-style mattresses.

Lovely back garden area in a quiet and clean neighborhood. The place was clean and comfortable, and Gary made sure I had everything i needed. Beautiful place to stay

This is one of my favorite Airbnb’s. It’s a beautiful space with high ceilings, lots of natural light, and a peaceful outdoor area. Would definitely stay again!

This is a lovely studio apartment and looks just like the pictures. Gary made great use of the space by including a mini fridge, mini dishwasher, and small stove top. The apartment is well decorated and very clean, and the private garden is lovely. There were some issues in the beginning of our stay and contractors needed to access the unit for an extended period of time, but Gary was very courteous and communicative and accommodated our schedule as much as possible. I would highly recommend this place!

Gary's place is a lovely, spacious studio with a beautiful garden. The location was ideal for our visit to the Noe Valley, with restaurants and shops nearby. The apartment is spacious for a studio, and with the high ceilings and connected garden it really was a little oasis in the city. Loved the kitchenette with two burners, refrigerator and dishwasher. We hope to be back when visiting relatives in this neighborhood again!

Gary was easy to communicate with, and the place is amazing for one person or 2. It's cozy, fresh, and comfortable, and that garden space really makes it. Perfect for enjoying morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. We had a late-night snafu with the alarm system, and Gary totally rolled with it and took care of us. I've always stayed in the Cartro or the Haight, but Noe Valley is a great neighborhood.

As a fourth generation San Franciscan, I enjoy sharing my home and the history of San Francisco, if asked. I live in a very unique neighborhood as it was one of the few that survived the 1906 earthquake and fire. As a result, there is a mixture of historic Victorians and ultra modern architectural homes like my own and great views. It is also a neighborhood with lots of parks and nature.

I am an active individual, enjoy staying fit and healthy in mind, body and spirit. I have traveled extensively in Europe and stayed in hosted homes/rooms for many years before aibnb ever existed - I know how to be a good host and guest, when to engage and when not to. My newly landscaped garden reflects my interest in the natural world - I love getting out to the nearby hiking, beaches, and exploration that we have right here near San Francisco.
