"Hi Susan. Although we very much enjoyed our stay there were things that could have been better. Here is a list to help you with future visitors to your cabin.
1. No wifi the first night
2. No kitchen table
3. No storage for our food in the kitchen.
4. No dresser drawers for our clothes.
5. No where to hang our clothes in the one closet. We had to live out of our suitcase.
6.. there was no list of dos and don’ts for the cabin or how to use things. We have stayed in other cabins that have had binders full of local places to go and things to do.
7. We didn't have enough towels out and available for us to use. You should have keep the linen closet open for us to access towels. We didn't even have a kitchen towel.
We really noticed the efforts that you have made to upgrade your cabin and we did enjoy staying there. The upstairs bathroom and heated floors was a bonus. However, due to the inconveniences we had on the first night we arrived we feel that we should be compensated for the first nights issues. We also had to wait for the wifi service technician which was a huge inconvenience and changed our schedule in the morning to go up the mountain. Thanks for letting us stay in your cabin. We would consider coming back if some of the items mentioned above were addressed.
Thank you, Lisa Smith ”
Thank you for your private feedback. We take our feedback very seriously, so we appreciate your thoughts.
In regards to the issues that bothered you...
1.I’m aware that no Wi-Fi is a real inconvenience in this day and age, but unfortunately I have no control over weather related issues, as you know that was the week we were having very heavy snow. To solve that issue, I made sure the technician came out the very next morning (even though it was a weekend) as early as they could.
2.Yes it’s a small cabin, and as you could’ve seen there is nowhere to put a kitchen table, that’s why for your convenience we made sure there were TV trays for your use.
3.We do have our cabinets stocked with essentials for your use/convenience and in addition we have an empty refrigerator, and in your case as you were going up with young kids, I made sure you had milk in the refrigerator.
4.Yes, it was built as a weekend cabin. Most of our guests and my family live out of a suitcase and we’ve never had a complaint.
5.We were unaware of the broken hangar rod in the closet, we had some guests 2 days before you were there and the housekeeper only noticed it the day before you got there. Due to the harsh weather, we were unable to get it fixed in time for your stay, our apologies.
6.I had already sent you a list of do’s and don’ts via message on Airbnb before your stay. This way I’m sure that my guests receive it.
As for places to go and things to do, we had already corresponded before your stay and I told you where you could go to take the children. I did exactly what you could’ve done on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) before your stay, but I gladly went ahead and gave you places of things to do and go when you inquired before your stay.
7.As for not having enough towels. When you first made the booking it was for 2 people so there were actually extra towels, but we did fix that right away and let you have access to our linen closet that is specifically for the housekeepers use. Our guests do not get to have access to our private closets and no one has ever had an issue with it.
Thank you, I’m very glad you enjoyed the upgrades to our Cozy Cabin. As for your inconveniences… Our check out is typically at 11 a.m., I offered you a late check out for 1 p.m. and after that you requested for a later check out and I gave you until 3 p.m. That would usually be a full day charge. As for the Wi-Fi and the service technician showing up at 8 am, to unplug and plug a wire which I paid extra for, for your convenience, you're welcome.
I do honestly take care of my guest the best way I can and I’m sorry we couldn’t please you.
