This is a comfortable and airy front bedroom flooded with sunlight in the mornings. It overlooks a secluded front garden which is lovely to have breakfast in during the summer. The views are of countryside and towards the Cam Valley.
A spacious light double bedroom at the front of the house overlooking a small secluded front garden that's lovely to have breakfast in during the summer months with views towards the Cam Valley.
There is a small wardrobe and chest of drawers for storage, a hair drier, kettle and herbal teas in the bedroom and Wi fi access -
These Hillside View early Edwardian terraces were built for the miners and my home retain's many of its original early Edwardian features including its gas lights! [although I have had these disconnected now from the mains ]
I use my downstairs front room very little and this is where the TV and access is to the front garden is for guests.
A continental breakfast will be laid out for helping yourself in the mornings and I am also able to cater for gluten and lactose free diets if notified in advance. Breakfast may be taken in the dining room or in the garden is good if the weather is fine.
I have 1 bathroom with both a bath and a separate walk in shower cubicle.
Guests are also welcome to relax in my back garden, seats and table are available.
I am happy to interact as much or as little as might be required with guests and will endeavour to offer any information that may be required as best as I am able - I do also have ordnance survey maps available that may be borrowed, of the area for walkers etc.
It will help me to know beforehand what time guest are likely to arrive if at all possible due to my irregular work patterns and days.
I do work irregular hours and am occasionally away, in which case my next door neighbour will be able to host you when this occurs [although I am generally around].
There is no parking directly outside my house as the front of this row of houses opens onto a field rather than the lane, consequently we use the private back road and our backdoors as our main entrance.
There is however free parking in the lane for all and it is possible to drop off luggage via the private but narrow back road access.
Hillside View is a quiet terraced location on a private road and so my neighbours will also need to be respected in this, when returning late.
Im sorry but there is no smoking in the house.
Other than this its basically just treat the home as you would your own.

I am an artist living in a Somerset village near Bath.
I have a studio in Bristol and also work P/T front of house and bookshop of an international public gallery in Bristol as well.
I am interested in people and places, histories and cultures, communities and our relationship to the the natural world.
I have raised a family who have left home and are on their own travels in life - and now find I often have a spare room at home and would like to explore the possibilities of hosting through airbnb.
My work as an artist has increasingly led me into research areas that take me away from home at times , I like to be able to keep this flexible and so airbnb looks like something that could work for me in many ways.
I enjoy meeting new people but also respect that at times people just need some quiet and relaxing time to themselves.
I have been settled in this area for over 25years and feel I have a fairly good knowledge of this part of the South West.
I enjoy living in the countryside and being able to walk out of my door onto footpaths, I feel that I am very lucky that I am able to enjoy fresh air and generally a quieter environment at the end of the day or come back to after trips away right on my doorstep here - alongside having the cultural benefit's of living close to the historic city of Bath and the diversities of Bristol within easy access.
