In quiet cul-de-sac a few minutes walk away from the Highfield campus of Southampton University. Shared bathroom and shower/wetroom. Adjacent parking.
The advertised space suits one guest.
Firstly, you must be a member of Airbnb (per their T&Cs). There will be no access at all unless you appear to be the person that booked the space. Once in, the spaces illustrated are available - notably your room, bathrooms and kitchen. Others may be upon request.
I work at home.
I can provide further meals at extra cost. Laundry is washed in rainwater with PV-assisted power and then ambient-air dried. The towels may not be as soft as you're used to! The house is warmed to 18degC during the mornings and evenings as colder weather occurs - possibly warmer if the woodburner is lit. My part of the road is data 'rural' so the WiFi will not be to 'superfast' urban standards. Note that pets haven't ever lived-in or been regular visitors to the house.
Prefer no pets, but ask. Definitely no smoking in the house.
I am an academic electronic engineer but still enjoy making things - even though I've now retired from the University of Southampton. Lately, I've been somewhat preoccupied with finishing my extended (and 'green') house. I help run a number of local charities, one being 'The Phoenix' which is a large local film club ( which specialises in showing the best of world film. I enjoy walking/rambling, cooking and finding and drinking good value wines. When travelling I like to be able to appreciate local life, particularly from someone who can compare/contrast it with their experience of UK/West European living.
