Walking distance to Commercial Drive, and 5 kms to downtown. The bedroom has a queen bed, a twin foam mattress (if hosting three people), access to a full bathroom (with tub), FREE street parking, and kitchen.
The bedroom comes with a luxurious queen bed. There is also a thick foam mattress that can be placed on the floor to accommodate a third guest. It's reasonably comfortable and a great option for small families or budget travelers; however it does make the room cramped-so it's best suited to those who only need a place to sleep.
Please note that "private room" means you are renting a room in a shared home. It is a two bedroom apartment that I live in full-time. There is one shared bathroom.
The building is equipped with an elevator however, it's built on a slope, and I'm on the low end of the slope. This means that there are 6 steps leading to my unit, making my home unsuitable for someone in a wheelchair.
Guests will have access to Wi-Fi, FREE street parking, full bathroom, kitchen & dining area for light meals, coin-operated washers & dryers, and wrap-around balcony.
Check-in 6PM. Please check with me prior to booking if you are arriving late at night or earlier in the day to ensure that I can accommodate you.
I will be here to greet you at check-in and ensure you know the ins and outs of the apartment to help you feel as comfortable as possible. Brochures from local restaurants and attractions will be available for your use, as well as information on how to make the most of Vancouver's transit system. I'll be around to offer recommendations, but will try my best to let you experience this gorgeous city firsthand.
Babies (1-yr and younger) stay for free! Children age two and older, however, are subject to the extra guests policy. For example, 2 adults and their 2-year-old should be entered as 3 people when booking.
If this is your first time booking on Airbnb, I highly recommend reading Atlas & Boots' article, "Airbnb Etiquette: 10 Tips for Guests." The article can be easily found using an internet search; I'm not able to post a link to it here. It's a great primer on what to expect when using Airbnb as opposed to traditional travel accommodation.
• Check-in time is 6PM.
Smoking is permitted on the outdoor balcony; an ashtray will be provided. Unfortunately, my building does not allow pets. Quiet hours (building-wide) are 10 p.m. to 9 a.m. Guests are more than welcome to use any of the kitchenware and to store their groceries in the fridge, but I do ask that guests wash their dishes after use.
Please note that downloading torrent files is illegal in Canada and can result in a fine of up to $500. My suggestion: stream your favourite TV shows to your heart's content, but please refrain from downloading illegal materials.
Cancel up to 7 days before your trip and get a 50% refund. Cancel within 7 days of your trip and the reservation is non-refundable.

Born and raised in Vancouver, I spent several years working internationally for non-profits in youth leadership and development before settling in back home. I'm currently pursuing a Master's of Social Work at UBC. I'm excited to show my guests all that my beautiful city has to offer, and to learn from their experiences while in my home!
