The noise from upstairs is something I've not encountered, they do have a child but again I've not had an issue with this. The house backs onto a small river and on the far side is a train line which moved quite slowly in effect. The fact it might disturb some I can't deny but again, it's never been a issue with any other of the many guests in any review.
With regard to the light, I changed the bulb upon my return and it being an LED, it must have failed, unfortunately these things happen. Had I known I would have directed the guests to a spare one had they wanted to change it. I've done the same when renting.
The shower door is brand new, as are all the gas works, electrics and decoration in the house, using the door over time may well make it slip, but a practical application to that would fix it as I did when I got home. I don't see the problem with the shower , it is new from April this year.
The door issue , yes the house has been refurbished in April 2017 , however I do understand the annoying inconvenience caused, again simply seeing the door was sticky from humidity might have avoided a problem.
I came back to the house to find a real mess, nothing was tidied from their stay and I felt the house was treated disrespectfully. A minimum of simply putting dirty plates, dirty saucepans and laundry in the washing machine as i had asked, placing rubbish outside would have been appreciated. I treat properties I stay in as my own and with respect. I'm disappointed the guests felt the way they did, however I would not myself welcome them back.
