New to airBnB our recently renovated cottage is a cosy, deceptively spacious home from home. The house is nestled in the south end of Lamlash with stunning views overlooking Glenkiln and the Monamore Glen. Non-smokers only. No pets.
The cottage is a lovely home for a stay on the island especially if you're looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Hide away from the cares of the world in a comfy space, with stunning mountain views across Glenkiln and the Monamore Glen. Very private and affordable.
When you walk in you will find a porch and hallway. A small staircase takes you up to the two cosy bedrooms. One has a double bed the other has two single beds. These rooms are built in the roof of the cottage and have camceil (sloping) ceilings, Velux Windows and the larger bedroom also has a gable end tilt and spin window with views looking over to Monamore Glen.
Back downstairs and on your right as you enter there is a downstairs bedroom with a comfy day bed, that pulls out to a queen should you require a larger bed. At the end of the corridor on the left you enter the spacious open plan living area. There are two sofas, a 42 inch TV and a cafe style table and four chairs in the corner of the room. The bathroom in this house is downstairs and is situated off the living room area which has a spacious shower only facility. (**please note there is no bath**).
The kitchen is stocked for all your basic needs and requirements and comes with an electric hob and oven, a microwave oven, a fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and hot and cold running water. Standing at the Belfast sink you will look out to the garden and hills beyond. The dining area has a large farmhouse table and six chairs. There are patio doors that open out to the garden and those stunning views of the Monamore Glen.
The garden has two benches and a picnic bench and whirlie gig for drying laundry.
***Due to the pre-existing style and nature of the original early 1900s design of the cottage, we feel it is NOT suitable for those with any mobility issues and unfortunately it is also not wheelchair friendly.

***** We do not accept pets under any circumstances.
The garden has been landscaped and in addition to two benches and 4 garden chairs there's also a picnic bench to enjoy breakfast, lunch or a dinner outside (weather depending of course)

We only rent on weekends on available dates in winter months. Check your dates with us minimum - rental is £125 per night plus £50 cleaning fee.
The minimum number of nights we normally accept bookings for is 7 nights.
Rentals are Saturday to Saturday (but this can be negotiated)
We do not supply bath towels.
Check in time: from 4pm/Check out time: 10am prompt
A deposit of £200 is required upon any booking.
Prices are seasonal.
There is a smart TV that's wifi enabled and a DVD player. There's a selection of DVDs including films and boxed sets or alternatively you can log into Netflix if you have an account.
Weekend lets are subject to a £50 surcharge on top of the daily rate.
We hope you enjoy your stay and are able to relax at the house during the time you are there. All we ask is that you look after it as if it were your own home.
Please use coasters under cups (especially in the bedrooms) and clear up any spillages immediately.
We understand that plates can sometimes smash and cups can break, so don't worry too much if things like that happen. Just let us know.
We do not allow smoking in the house or any naked flames, so no candles are allowed unless needed for an emergency such as a power cut.
