Relax on the balcony and take in the sky and city (and even a few mountains!). Walk along the nearby trails and find yourself immersed in lush forest, or in the middle of downtown Anchorage. Stay in on a rainy day and enjoy the fireplace in our cozy, colorful apartment (affectionately nicknamed: The Bird Nest).
Our cozy 2-bedroom apartment overlooks midtown Anchorage. You can expect a full kitchen, dining nook, newly remodeled bathroom, and plenty of ambient light to help you wind down after a long day of exploring.
There's a queen bed in the master bedroom, and if needed, a comfy twin airbed in the other. Clean linens and towels will be provided. High-speed internet is available with a password. We also have a small assortment of extra rain/outdoor gear, if you need something in a pinch (just ask!).
You will have access to the full, second-story apartment and the attached balcony, as well as two dedicated parking spaces.
I'm available by phone for any questions you may have, and am only ten minutes away from the apartment during the day in case any emergencies come up.
Smoking is allowed around the building, just not inside the apartment, on the balcony, or by the stairs. There are several dogs that live in the rest of the building, but all are friendly and all are required to be on a leash when they are outside. Just know that you may hear some doggie squeaks every now and then.
I fully expect you to treat our apartment as your own, and that comes with an inherent amount of respect. We love this place, and have put a lot of work into making it nice for others--we'd love for it to stay that way! Please clean up after yourself, and try to leave the place as you found it.

We're a couple of mellow people from Anchorage, Alaska. We like traveling, drinking coffee, eating good food, and spending time with our little Husky-mix named Watson. And even though we are often traveling outside of Alaska, we love being home... that might be why we've enjoyed using AirBnB so much (both as travelers AND hosts). Having a welcoming home base to come back to at the end of a long day is just the best.
