I built the house to be practical and comfortable. Many Live Oak trees surround the property. Tidal creek in back yard affords canoe and kayak launching for quick access to Copahee Sound and the Intracoastal Waterway. Mi casa es su casa!

I am a middle aged father of one 8 year old. I am a huge fan of all things related to nature and science. I have been a bicyclist all my life and I enjoy windsurfing, sailing, running, music, and food. I am also a builder/carpenter and I own a business called Charleston Yacht Carpentry. I built my house to withstand hurricanes to the best of my knowledge and budget. I have lived in Charleston for 25+ years and have a strong appreciation of all the things this area has to offer such as the history, the ocean, the wildlife, the quality of life in general, and the climate. Being hospitable is second nature to me; I love to feed people and to provide a secure, comfortable environment for travelers who appreciate similar things.
My favorite travel destinations right now include the Pacific North West. British Columbia, Seattle, Hood River, Portland Oregon. I also love the Virgin Islands. Randy Wayne White and Pat Conroy are writers I enjoy. I also like books about pirates/privateers. Otherwise, I am a subscriber to Outside Magazine (for over 15 years now) and Wooden Boat Magazine. My favorite news source is comedy focused like The Daily Show with John Stewart, John Oliver on HBO, and Steven Colbert of the Colbert report. I love many kinds of music and listen to radio stations on the internet more than on FM radio because of the lousy programming on most commercial stations.
