Couple of minutes stroll from the seaside walkway and the enjoyable climb of Paritutu rock. 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a sunroom. Two decks for morning and afternoon sun looking out to the vege garden and entertaining chickens (help yourself to free range eggs!) or the native NZ garden.
Very warm and cosy with heat pump and cranking fire place in the winter. A ranch slider and bi-fold doors either end of the house allow wind flow of it's too hot in the summer months.
Two couples fit comfortably but the is a fold out couch in the lounge or blow-up mattress for the sunroom if really needed.
I live here when I'm not travelling so wardrobes, cupboards and the garage are in use. Guests can help themselves to spices, oils, etc. as well as fresh produce from the garden and eggs from my chickens.
There is a convenience store 10min walk away but I don't mind if guests use food from cupboards then replace.
When I'm in town I'll swing by and talk about what's on. If I'm away my folks live here and can help/discuss with guests if need be.
Great museum and art gallery.
Mountain views and great tramps.
Beaches for surfing and swimming.
Great cafes and restaurants.
Pukekura Park, especially over summer with the Festival of Lights and live music.
Paritutu Rock climb for views of the city and coastline.
Shoes off if they're dirty.
Remember to lock the doors if you leave.
