Londoners are finally allowed to airbnb! I'm now able to share my much loved flat in East London.
Cosy 1 bed apartment in iconic Keeling House in East London with views across Canary Wharf.
A one-bed flat on the 5th floor Denys Lasdun's iconic Keeling House, this is a Grade II listed brutalist structure, renovated in 2001 from the 1950's original. It's a small but slick space and I recently fitted secondary glazing, underfloor heating, new flooring throughout and a brand new bathroom. The flat is set back from the main road and the building is gated with a friendly day time concierge, so it's peaceful and secure.
The flat has a sunny, South-facing living area and kitchen with views of Canary Wharf and the City. It's worth getting up to see the sun rise over the wharf! The kitchen is well stocked with gadgets and condiments so it'll be easy to cook if you choose to stay in. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge freezer, juicer, cafetiere and oven. The breakfast bar seats 2.
The bedroom has a double bed, blackout curtains and is cool even on hot summer's days. I've a large wardrobe space but a lot of my clothes will be left... I'll try to clear a space for your use. There's a hairdryer and iron you're welcome to use too.
The bathroom was recently redone so there's a new electric shower, new suite, underfloor heating and towel rail.
The entire property is available for your stay. Parking can be arranged ahead of time.
I'll be away but contactable if you need anything and my brother lives nearby.
The ice tray is always full and I'll leave some milk in the fridge.
- No parties
- No smoking indoors
- No noise after 10.30pm, so as not to upset my lovely neighbours please
- Please leave the place as you found it
I'm a graphic designer based in London but originally from Dublin. I came to London for a weekend in 2007 and never left - what a town!
I love to travel. This year I've been to Rome for the 6 Nations and Dahab for a few weeks' scuba diving. Looking forward to cycling the Ring of Kerry in July, but otherwise will make the most of summer in London :)
