Just across from the train station, inside the city walls so you can walk everywhere in the city or hop on a bus just downstairs. Air conditioned. Apartment from the 1920s with marble and wood floors. 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 balconies, full kitchen and wifi. Conference Center is 2 blocks.
Our place is in a great location. It is just across from the train station (less luggage lugging) and there taxi buses and bikes at the doorstep so you can go anywhere in the city.
The space itself is large, 100 sq meters, and can easily accommodate six people. It has high ceilings, original marble floors, lots of windows and is very quiet. The third bedroom is in an attic-like area, a lot of fun for kids.
One of the couches in the living room is a sofa bed and so, if need be, another guest can stay there.
There are high ceilings in the main part of the apartment and lots of windows which make it very light. Something that is unusual in Florence.
It is a 5 minute walk to the Duomo. From the balcony you can see the stained glass windows and bell tower of Santa Maria Nuovella.
You can go anywhere in the city on foot. The Mercato Centrale, the Accademia and the Uffizi are just a short walk away.
For people visiting the city for work the apartment offers easy access and is very close to the Fortezza da Basso Conference Center. So it allows you to walk to work and then relax in the evening.
I like to think that it is great for families because they can always come back to the apartment for a rest or a snack and then go out again.
The kitchen is functional and has everything you need to make your own pasta if you feel like staying in for an evening.
We have flexible check in and check out times so if no one is in the apartment the next day or if they are arriving late we will let you come when you like and stay as long as you like. However, if someone is coming in we try to come to a fair compromise like an 11am checkout and a 1 pm check in.
The house is big by Italian standards over 100 square meters and everything there is for you to use.
We have great guests and it is a pleasure to get to know them.
We are happy to help with organizing your trip. If you need something during your stay please let us know, we very knowledgable about Florence are always here to do what we can.
Travelling is a wonderful opportunity to spend time together and we hope that people coming to Florence have that opportunity--to explore our city easily and have fun. Being so close to everything makes Florence all that more accessible.
This is the house where my husband grew up and where we had our first two children so we are very attached to it. we had some squatters in the apartment for some years and now we are remodelling it. We are still making improvements.
Please turn off the lights and fans when you leave.
We kindly request that our guests treat it like their own home and smoke on the little terrace outside.
Please leave all the guidebooks in the apartment when you leave.
We would appreciate it if you let us know your arrival time at least a day in advance.
We have flexible check in to make traveling as easy as possible but if you are planning to arrive after 7pm you need to organize this with us in advance .
We don't allow large parties.
And, please you are on vacation we want you to relax as much as possible--so please do not make the beds when you leave!
I am a mom, art historian, world traveller and potter. I love to hang out with my three kids, have dinner with friends on the terrace, read long books and bring in flowers from the garden.
