I reside in the old country store building on the property along with my girlfriend and our two dogs. We will be available to assist you with most travel needs, but will give you privacy and not bother you unless requested or for emergency purposes. Our dogs do use a fenced off portion of the property and while they enjoy checking out new guests, we are very mindful of when they go out, so rest assured. Typically if we have a chance to get to know you we share our delicious organic prepared foods, baked goods or other nice treats.
Typically there are fresh cage free local eggs available from happy happy hens! Have a sweet tooth? You can't go home without maple syrup so for convenience we offer for sale the best certified organic syrup from our good friend's sugarhouse. Our property has a number of apple trees that produce a bountiful harvest of delicious tasting apples, and when in season, we are happy to share our harvest with our guests.
Part of the beauty of staying at the Orchard Farmhouse is its rustic décor and history. In order for our guests to enjoy these aspects for many years to come, we as that you please be respectful of the character and integrity of our house. Come enjoy yourself, have some fun, and be as loud as you want, but please treat our home as if it were your own. Please no smoking inside the house; you’re welcome to smoke in comfort on the covered front porch.

Originally from Philadelphia, PA I moved to Vermont years ago to get closer to the natural way of life and now I am a full time Vermonter. I am all about Vermont Life, Nature, Outdoors, Farm to Table, Local food and attractions and love showing off the wonders of the Northeast Kingdom to visitors. Since I am formerly a resident of a major city, and now perfectly content with the slower Vermont life, I see things from the perspective of both a visitor and local, therefore I can provide you with the best hosting experience.
