Huthwaite Grange was built for the owner of the internationally important Wortley Top Forge which stands opposite. The Grade 1 Listed Top Forge dates back to the seventeenth century and is the world’s oldest surviving water powered iron forge.
Huthwaite Grange is a magnificent Georgian house which stands in its beautiful grounds. The house has just completed a painstaking restoration to a standard befitting of such a historically important building. All original feature have been restored using historically accurate techniques and materials while modern services, insulation, solar power and underfloor heating have been added but hidden from view.
Guests have the run of the house and the acre grounds, he house is not lived in so all storage space is also available to use.

The house has been restored to a high standard - it is beautiful inside and out. We hope that you would treat it with the respect that you would treat your own home. No smoking is permitted in the house and no pets are allowed. Not suitable for hen or stag parties.
