Just steps from downtown Bend, and a 10 minute walk to the Old Mill and the Les Schawb Amphitheater. The private upstairs includes a sitting room, full bath and bedroom. You are welcome to a self-serve breakfast which includes fresh eggs from my chickens, when available, and honey from my beehives. I have two small Spaniels who love all the attention from our guests. The steps to the upstairs are narrow and steep, this space is not suitable for small children, bad knees or oversize luggage.
You will have the entire upstairs space to yourself. It includes a bedroom with a closet, master bathroom with a shower and bathtub, and a sittings area. This house was built in 1917 and is in Bend's Historic District. It is common in older homes to have steep and narrow steps; if you have heavy luggage or bad knees, this may not a good choice. Unfortunately, because of the steps, this is not appropriate for small children. I have chickens that lay beautiful eggs during the summer for your breakfast and I have bee hives on the property.
Enjoy the garden during the day including a water feature that attracts many local birds. There is a outdoor seating area with a fireplace for outdoor use during the summer. The kitchen is available for you to prepare your self service breakfast. Coffee, tea, toast and honey are available, eggs when the girls are laying, which is usually spring to fall.
Your privacy is important to me, but I am happy to help anyway I can to make your stay enjoyable.
I would appreciate it if you did not wear street shoes upstairs on the carpet, shoes are fine downstairs on the wood floors. Please no smoking anywhere on the property. Sorry, no dogs allowed.
Bend has been my home since 2009 when I retired from Alaska Airlines.
I currently keep busy with my garden, chickens, bees and two adorable King Charles Spaniels.
