My family loves to travel. We always look for a unique, quaint, off-the-beaten path apartment or house to stay where we can be a guest in someone else's neighborhood. When we travel, we love to entrench ourselves in the local culture, seek out local activities and explore the area.
We'd been looking in the Chester VT area for a vacation home for a number of years as we fell in love with the quaint town and particularly the proximity to the local ski mountains (Okemo, Bromley, Stratton and Magic). We were lucky to find this pre-civil war gem in December 2014.
There's so much to do in Chester in every season. Less than a 5 minute walk and you are at the towns recreation area that houses a large (seasonal) in ground pool, gazebo, tennis courts, basketball courts, skateboard park and baseball field. Less than a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction and you come upon the historical village of Chester where you'll find restaurants and shops housed in buildings from yesteryear. There are also 4 antique shops in town!
