Sole use of a newly refurbished annex flat with kitchen, living/dining room and 2 bedrooms (1 king size bed, twin beds). Use of washer/dryer and the gardens with trampoline and climbing frame. 8 miles to Henley. A haven! Great for walking/cycling.
A self contained annex with fully equipped kitchen, living/dining room and bathroom. One bedroom with king size bed, one bedroom with twin beds. An extra airbed can be provided.
Guests can use the gardens, heated swimming pool (may have to share it with our children aged 7 and 9; it is only available in the summer) and even pick veg and fruit for yourselves as it becomes ready for harvest. There are woods behind the house and miles of footpaths and bridleways from the house.
We live in the main house and can assist with anything during your stay, give recommendations for walks and pubs and other local attractions. At the same time you have your privacy as the annex is entirely self contained.
Mobile reception is patchy. There is internet access.
TV with DVD player is provided. You will not be able to download films or stream on ipads etc because the internet is slow. We have dogs, cats and rabbits (and sometimes cows) here. They are not allowed in the annex but they are free in the grounds.
NO SHOES ON CARPETS
PEOPLE WITH CHILDREN UNDER 12 NEED TO CONSULT US PRIOR TO BOOKING
All pool users must shower before using the pool. The pool is not attended and is used at your own risk (up to 1.8m deep). It will be closed at the owners' discretion and only between 8 am and 6pm when open.
We are a family with two children (Oscar born 2008 and Isobel born 2010). We have 3 cats (Tinga, Midnight and Tiddles - two of them our own kittens born at home) and 2 dogs (a golden retriever Marlee and a Bernese Mountain puppy Nala).
We have live in a beautiful part of the Chilterns in the UK with 3.5 acres of land around us. We renovate property for a living now, having given up being human rights lawyers in 2010. So we are quite practical people and know how to look after a home! We have recently completed work on our own house to turn a 1850s house into a fully sustainable house over 400 m 2 running off solar power.
We travel alot. I was brought up in Hong Kong and still have family there. We like to try new things and meet new people. We love good food, and are constantly on the search for good organic and locally sourced foods and restaurants. We often travel to meet family either in Asia or other parts of the world. We have stayed in a few Airbnb places and always care for other peoples homes as if they were ours,
