This 3 bedroom Antique Farmhouse with Gourmet Kitchen sits on 2 country acres with a stream flowing through it. Whether you're lounging on hammock, making breakfast on the French stove, or sitting by the firepit, this is Berkshire living at its best!
Enjoy your summer at a 3 bedroom/2 bath modern-rustic farmhouse on a couple acres in the cozy village of North Egremont. This house has just been renovated, and features a flea-market-chic aesthetic updated for modern lifestyles.
The great country kitchen features a Subzero fridge, French Lacanche range, apron-front fireclay sink, new LG dishwasher and an antique marble-topped island. The dining room is spacious, and the cozy den has a large TV with Dish Network. Off the back porch is a large, utilitarian mudroom with sink and new LG front-load washer and dryer. The large full bath downstairs has a stand-alone claw foot tub with shower ring. The antique floors were just refinished, so they're wonderfully uneven and can snag socks - wearing slippers or bare feet is recommended.
All the bedrooms are upstairs - two large bedrooms (one with queen bed, the other with two twins) and one medium-sized room with double bed - all with closets. The "vintage-sized" full bath upstairs is at the end of the hall. There are 3 window A/C units, and, of course, Wi-Fi. The cell phone carrier is AT&T, which gets the best reception here by far. A landline is available, also.
Outside is our long side porch with seating, and the backyard has a beautiful stream running through it, just behind the barn. This homestead is in the village, so the house is set back about 20 feet from the road, with abundant space in the back for running, playing and lounging.

Two parents, four kids, one cat. We lived all over the country (Northern California, Dallas, Manhattan, Long Island, Houston, Brooklyn) before finding the perfect place to put down roots - the Berkshires. The natural beauty, the people, the values, the activities, the history, the architecture, the proximity to NYC - these are the reasons we visited, and then never wanted to leave!
